Totally smashed the entire suspension apron in on itself. The strut bar took most of the impact, (saved the motor) but as we all know kinetic energy has gotta flow somewhere and it did to the other side, knocking it out of whack about 2"-3" or so.

wait...aren't the Kouki's built in japan and imported for the american market? to be honest...I don't really know all that much about the manufacturing of them, only they go like stink in straight lines, around turns and even sideways...and I want one, lol. Like I said, I'd prefer to have a s13 hatch to my little zx2, but the ones I've had my eyes on are all riced out and look like shit...or have some old guy driving it around who doesn't want to sell it because its the only car he's got...
Aaaaah, I see now. Well, yeah, I guess if your looking at it from that standpoint then yes, my car was assembled and built in Japan. Kyushyu, Japan to be more specific if I'm reading my VIN correctly. And I suppose its finally assembly is finished here in the US for the US market. And why not try Craigslist? They offer some gems every now and then. And parts are also available through that site as well and forums. I used to rock a little Escort ZX2...I feel your pain. LOL!
theres nothing really here in chicago in my price range besides, I wouldn't buy one here since it'll be all nasty and rusted and shit...If I lived in the south or something where snow and salt wasn't an issue i would'a for sure got one...but here, I woulnd't subject wanna subject that car to the winters here...it wouldn't be fair. Besides, my little zx2 dont do so bad in my AutoX class so I guess its alright...
Your telling me. Even after getting another '97 Kouki it doesn't feel like my car. I mean granted it doesn't have coilovers and all the suspension work like the black one did. But the overall car itself doesn't feel like mine just yet. Guess its gotta grow on me. I'm already in the processes of getting it setup. Stance GR+ Pro coilovers, Stance aluminum subframe bushings, swapping the differentials out of the black car into the white one. Its a Skyline R32 differential. Purchase the one wheel and tire and I'll be set for the most part.3 out of 4 are still good, I'm buying another wheel and tire. And I'm still stickin' with 240's. ;)
