This is
rabbitfangs 's final commission. Kat and Dee go to a jewelry shop to pick out a new earring for Dee.
This time, the story is by me:
Kat and Dee walked hand-in-hand down a cobblestone walkway. It was a late summer's day - warm, but pleasant. They had just finished lunch when Kat suggested they take a stroll through the plaza next to the restaurant. People came in and out of the various shops, some had bags, but most were just taking advantage of the nice weather like them.
Dee spotted a jewelry store tucked behind a small stone fountain.
"Let's go in there! Maybe I'll finally find an earring I like," she guided Kat towards the green door.
They had been to several jewelry stores, but nothing really caught Dee's eye. All the gems looked the same to her. Nothing unique.
The shop was very small, barely enough room for a few cases. A clerk looked up from her magazine and smiled at them.
Before long, Kat had selected several pieces for Dee to look over. She gently leaned on the glass case while pointing out another pair of gold earrings for the clerk to present.
Dee, meanwhile, admired her reflection in a small mirror. She had selected a small blue opal stud. It shimmered in the shop's lights.
"I like this one," Dee turned to Kat to show her.
Kat looked up and grinned, "It matches your eyes!"
Dee blushed.
"We'll take that one, please," Kat reached into her pocket for her wallet.
The clerk nodded and rang them up. She wrapped the matching earring in a bag while Dee continued to wear the other.
The bell above the door jingled as another customer entered.
"Thank you!" the clerk called out just as Kat and Dee left. The door shut softly behind them.
Dee wrapped her arm around Kat's waist as they continued on down the plaza's sidewalk. Feeling the warmth of the sun on her fur and Kat's body pressed into hers, Dee couldn't help but smile. A feeling of peace washed over her. Everything was well.

That's it for the story of Kat and Dee at least for the time being. Since these are Rabbitfangs' characters, I don't know what's appropriate for them. It feels sad to let them go entirely, but it also doesn't feel quite right without Rabbitfangs here.

It does feel really sad to see them go, but it was so much fun to see your art and Rabbitfangs' stories and ideas bring them to life and send them on such grand adventures. Even if there's no more art of them, I know they will live on regardless. I know I will always remember and cherish them, and all of the other work you've done for her and thank you again for finishing this.
Megan said it Best, and I have little to add except that this has made me cry..... Not because it's the final of the series.....but because I believe it represents a New Beginning for Two of her Most Beloved Characters....and I am so Very Happy for Them!
They have achieved what so many in life have not, they have found True Love. And in Them and in this moment, I believe Bunny will live on forevermore.
In a World Full of Hate and Pain, These Two embodied what Bunny wanted Most out of life, and that was Love.... Pure and simple Love.❤️
Thank you Nivarra, for being such a True and Kind person to such Kind and Gentle Soul as was Bunny.
And Thank you from the very Bottom of my Heart as a friend and a long time admirer of your Beautiful Art.
You Truly Are the Best my Friend! *Hugs Tightly*
You never know they may speak to you and wish to be drawn and let you come up with a story to fit
They're cute and I know what you mean about them continuing on. It's hard to say...
I know that after I go I hope my characters are taken care of, but I need to get more stuff out first... *hugs*
Wonderful work hon. Did you ever give her sister the book?
Yes, I did give her the book. She said that she felt so much better knowing that she had friends who really cared about her. She appreciated it a lot
Thank you.
