I wish so too. Perhaps even a paid mobile version as well, not involving Paradox Interactive in the least unlike the second game, so that I have more than just Spaceward Ho! to play in the good 4X genre. However, bringing them alive through art is good enough for now. Hehe~

SOTS is such an interesting universe and I'd kill for like, a full-fledged RPG in the setting. Like you're an independent Morrigi trader with your motley crew of humans, hivers, and tarkas you've either hired or shanghaied.

I've been trying to figure out whatever happened to the Freehold sourcebook that was mentioned on the Kerberos forums, because it'd be nice to have character stat sheets and the like for Freehold and beyond. All I've ever found of it outside of that was a mention of that one Loa art being supposedly from the Loa sourcebook.
As for an RPG like Mass Effect or other ARPGs both 3d and 2d? That would be super fun, though other races should get the limelight too! Sadly, I feel like that's quite far out of Kerberos's reach for now. A JRPG style would be simpler, but probably wouldn't evoke as much fun, at least for me. I'm still a sucker for RTS and 4X, Spaceward Ho-style that is. However, an arcady flight game in the vein of Ace Combat or Star Fox wouldn't be half bad either. They'd also have a lot of assets they could re-use or build upon too! Dreams will be dreams, though-

Honestly yeah, SOTS would probably translate super well to tabletop, more than anything else.
