Mirate, mi Hijo... Mira, Sanita... nuestro hijo... unser Sohn.
Seven months ago, little one, you came into this world, came to us from somewhere I'll never be wise enough to know- a secret you'll keep, I'm sure. You came to us, tiny traveler- so tiny and shivering, cold and helpless. You were so tiny, so precious. *beams* "How could you be so tiny" I said, "when you made your mamma so big?" You stole our hearts, little prince. With your first little breaths of life, you burned away all I was.
Now, here you are, look at you.
I can't imagine what that must feel like for you. As you look around this world, you've always laid on your little back, fidgeting and twitching, cooing and squee-ing. A month ago, you were sitting up for a few seconds at a time. *sighs in wonder* How different this world must have looked to you once you figured out you could do that. Had you known that you could do that?
Now you've learned that those little legs of yours are for more than just playing futbol con la vejiga de tu madre ardilla. She holds your tiny little hands in hers, those delicate little sculptures, so like her own, and with just a little assistance, suddenly I see your little face light up in wonder. Tiny emerald eyes widen, tiny chubby cheeks flush, as the world changes again. You stand up, little prince, just like your mamas. Did you know you could do that?
How much longer before you can walk to us, little princeling? Climb out of your bed? Before you say your first words?
Will you still recall all those amazing secrets of a greater universe by then? Before you came to us through her body?
He's our little boy,
Sanita_Squirrel Our little Edgar Vincent. You inspire me to create things for you, every day, things which may be pretty or moving but him- you made him perfect.
Happy Seven Months to you, sweet little one. Feliz Siete Mesa Cumpleanos. *chuckles* Alles Gute zum siebten Monat Geburtstag! Just as you've made me see a much bigger, more beautiful world than the one I knew, I hope you can, as well, now.
