...aka "Why we can´t have nice things!"
Oh geez, I know I may get some heavy flak for this...
Okay, As you may or may not know I enjoy furry as well as sizechange stuff. Its fun for me and enjoy drawing it. I like to see it in movies too, The giantess scenes in "Monsters vs. Aliens" were fun to watch and "the fantastic Mr. Fox" is interesting since it features anthopomorphic foxes (some of my favorite animals). I do thou never forgett that I am not the original target audience of these movies.
Sadly some very sad persons in the internet do.
I read in disgust that there were some fucked up individuals actually mastubating in the cinema during the growth scene in "Monsters". And in some furry forums I read that people planned to go to the movie premiere of "Mr. Fox" wearing a fursuit. Of course this behaviour alienates the general public and it fucks the chances up to see more of that. "Monsters" will not have a second part, officially because it bombed at the box offices, but inofficiallly because the responsible people in the studios where scared off by the rule 34 fanart and the weird shit that was going off in the net. Chances are good similar things will happen with movies like "Mr. Fox".
Its always the same, the morons and sickos fuck things up for those who silently enjoy.

I've never seen either movie so I can't judge. Honestly neither looked appealing to me in either respect.
I think the problem is that nobody in Hollywood making these sorts of movies understands the target demographic. They hear there are thousands of furies out there so they make movies they think might appeal to them and then are disgusted when all the true weirdos crawl out of the woodwork.

one day you a just surfing the internet.... you start playing second life.... then though a girl you find your a furr... and then you a furry ^_^! well thats how i found i was a furr! Took me a bit of time to figure out i was a tiger though. This is a very true comic though lol
With the internet as an alternative means of distribution we are less and less bound to the scraps that big studios give out to fandoms However showing restraint in public can be a good thing. I dont want normies aware of too many things, not to be elitist but they tend to ruin things lately.
