My cats seem to love being in the bathtub as well, but they run when they see me enter the bathtub.

It makes me wonder just what they are thinking, are they trying to find a way to disable or control this Water Making Device?

I think that some cats can surpass the speed of light if they suspect that running water might hit them. One of my dad's cats used to jump into the tub to sleep. I guess it was the coolest place in the house. One day my dad filled the tub in preparation for a bath, which the cat would normally notice and avoid the room until the bathroom was quiet again. Well the phone rang before my dad had a chance to get into the tub, and distracted him. The cat assumed that the bathroom was safe, since no one was actually in the tub. The cat went into the bathroom and leaped into the tub, assuming it was empty. We heard the splash and in that same instant the cat jumped out of his skin, shot through the house and straight to the basement. I never thought they could move that fast! That was ten years ago, and that cat never jumped without looking first again.

Oh, I can just imagine that. It's one of those things you wish you could see but are so very glad you didn't after the fact! Great story there.

You most definitely don't want to be in the line of fire when a cat is moving that fast. Bullets don't even move that fast! :)
