My "Digital Sumi-e" Styling
Silgihtly more detail added and a bit out of the "traditional" appearance of my Digital Sumi-e paintings but none the less I felt going overboard on details the piece would lose its essence.
Evolution of this particular piece can be seen in my sketches journal located at krestelcat.blogger.com I ended up reducing its width and putting center focus upon the characters face rather to draw the looker into the beasts eyes...as we know, eyes are but a window to the soul...

Oh! It's absolutely lovely - the texture on his nose! And the details in the face, so soft but so evocative. The fur looks incredibly realistic.
This is drop dead gorgeous. I cannot thank you enough for this. You've been so kind to keep working on it and I can't tell you how much I've enjoyed seeing it evolve in your journal.
