I've been thinking of redesigning Saurgus for a while (again :P) so this what I've came up with and some changes to his origins.

First big change, no wings and some color change. Why no wings, I want to make things bit more natural. Instead of growing wings and other dragon features slowly over the years I'm just going to have him born with his powers and features. I know he could have been born with wings but his physical build is made for ground travel.

Second change the large body scars. Over time I started to not like scars on his abs and decided to remove them on his legs and tail. The story is while he was a gladiator, the slave master's way of branding his slaves is with body art, just to satisfy his twisted sense of art. Unfortunately to Saurgus' tough hide and healing, the slave master repeatedly used some of best tools with searing heat so that the markings are there to stay. Saurgus managed to escape before the slave master could finish his "grand" design on him.

I decided the bring back a weaponized tail.
