The nurse put a hand on his shoulder.
“I’m really sorry about your babies…” She said, sadly. “ Goku looked up still crying.
“What?” He said. The nurse gave a sympathetic smile.
“I know losing a child is hard…but you’ll get over it eventually…and so will he.”
“Wait...wait...you mean…Vegeta's okay?” Goku asked, hope welling in his chest. The nurse nodded.“We almost lost him too. He lost a good amount of blood. But luckily, he’ll live.” Goku sobbed happily kissing Vegeta's forehead. “He passed out a while ago…before we had the chance to tell him…” Goku looked at her.“Where are they?” She led him over to the table with the small babies on it. Goku’s heart dropped. The babies resembled Vegeta, but had 2 bangs growing…and both had fluffy tails. He sniffed, head lowered.
“I’m sorry sir. You should wait until Vegeta wakes up and tell him the news…Also all was not a total loss. One little one survived. She was nearly dead at birth, but it seems this little gale has a strong will to live. Ill bring her to you." The nurse said turning and leaving to get the infant.

Vegeta slowly came into consciousness, and became aware of one thing first, pain. No not pain, pure agony. Pain didn't even come close to what his lower body was feeling. He became aware that he was lying in a bed, with no clothes on and a thin white sheet over him. He turned his head to see Goku looking down at his wristbands, his face covered by his hair.
“Ka…Kakarott…” He rasped out, watching Goku look up instantly, a look of relief on his face.
“Oh…Vegeta…” He whispered, smiling sadly. Vegeta tried to sit up and winced, Goku immediately putting a hand behind his lover's back to steady him. Vegeta could tell something was wrong. But what... no...

“Kakarott…where’s the babies?” Goku tensed and stayed quiet. “Kakarott?” Vegeta sked titling his head to look into Goku's sad eyes. A look of horror appeared on his face. No…not the baby…no…NO!!!
“Vegeta…the babies…they.. they didn’t make it…” Vegeta felt tears welling in his eyes and his body shook violently. He didn't care who saw. “N-No…” He croaked. “No! It’s not true!” He cried hitting Goku on the chest weakly. “Please...you’re lying!!” He sobbed, trying to hit harder, yet lacking strength. “I’m so sorry Vegeta…” Goku whispered. He’d lost them, he'd lost the babies. "Vegeta listen to me there is something else... Vegeta froze, "What?" he asked. "I'll be right back." Goku quickly got up and left the room, but soon returned carrying a small bundle. He held it out to Vegeta who immediately reached for it. He looked down and froze, It couldn't be... He had to look again. It was.. The little who had died in birth previously, had been reborn...

The bundle stirred, it seemed the little one was awakening. She looked up with groggy eyes. Her hair was jet black with golden tips. Goku and Vegeta looked at each other in silence, then back down at the baby. Vegeta began to smile. A slight one, but a smile nonetheless. Vegeta watched at she seemed to study him for a minute, then her face brightened and she began waving her arms around and making noises.

 Vegeta chuckled and brought his tail round to wave it in front of her to see her reaction. First she froze, not a clue what it could be. Then got curious and once she got hold of the end she began cooing and gurgling again.

 Goku smiled. “What should we name her?” He asked. Vegeta blinked.
"Gota" Vegeta replied beaming. He carefully picked her up and cuddled her against his chest....
