Here is another sketch of some of the good characters found within The Shadow of the Dog Lord Roleplaying Adventure Game. This particular character is Regulus, a fox wizard fighting alongside Lord Bowser and the Dar-Koldor Rebellion. Regulus was a wizard who was Lukas's lieutenant (Lukas is Bowser's father), and now fights alongside Bowser. Though he may be old, he is not so venerable that he cannot hold his own against the minions of Fenrir.

Regulus was a fun character to draw. He has the standard gray beard and mustache that all good, old wizards seem to have nowadays, as well as a pair of spectacles, which were probably invented quite recently. And, yes, before you ask, his eyebrows are supposed to be light, and yes, the light spot in his nose is intentional. He's sort of based on my two dogs, who are getting a bit old (one is a lot older than the other), and both are developing pink noses and gray spots where their eyebrows would be if they had them.

His costume was also fun to think about. I gave him a slightly more gentleman's costume rather than the traditional wizard's robes, so he has a corded vest and Victorian scarf on top of his robe, and a fine cape on top of that.

I really like his staff...it's supposed to be a raven, but turned out to be more like a swan I think.
