I've always lived at least 1,000 driving miles away from my (large and mostly Catholic) extended family in central Minnesota. We make an annual pilgrimage (normally by flying) that lasts a week or two every summer (or sometimes Christmas).

Since we moved to Warren, PA almost 4 years ago, I've had a hard time making friends since this is a tightly-knit community and more people move out than in (which is also my intention).

I like this picture and feel sorry for you.
