September image for my 2020 calendar, featuring my new bee character Imelda. She poses among some asters and wears a single sapphire jewel on her cloak, tying in the birth flower and birthstone for this month. I chose Metamorphosis for the title this time because (in some places at least) this is when nature begins the transition from summer to autumn - shorter days, cooler temps, and the earliest signs of leaves turning color. We meet the Equinox later in the month as well, celebrating the last harvest. Its time to start preparing for the cold winter months, but for now, we can enjoy a few last delights of summer if the weather is still warm enough. (It sure is here in Oklahoma!)

ONE MORE TO GO! :D I'm super ready to have this project completed, I love the work I've been doing on these this year but I'm definitely getting worn out on three pieces a month for each one - the ref sheet for the new character, the actual calendar art, and then a followup image of the character for my Patreon rewards. I'm exhausted but I see the finish line.
