This is what is known as "Surrealism". It can be a way in which we can bend reality into a fantasy.
This was a project I did for my Art class. This one can really cause to think about our lives. Why, you ask? Well, the project was that not only we were supposed to create a Surrealism artwork, we were also to take an envelope and decorate it. Since the paper we used to draw was folded, we were to write a message to ourselves in it, and talk about our lives, how we think of it, and where we think we'll be in 5 years.
Our teacher told us that after 5 years, she will mail us our artwork back, with our message still written in.
I have to say this project probably caused a lot of people to think about their lives and what they would with themselves in the future.
I've already written my message and now I wonder how I'm going to react once I see it again in 5 years.
Well, now that that explanations, over, let's talk about the art itself.
I took a picture straight out from a National Geographic book (1975 edition), which was a river in a foreign land I already forgot, and drew it. To make it surreal, I put in a very odd-looking dragon spitting out eggs. And yes, they're easter eggs, lol. Hope you enjoy it.....I'm just curious in my future reaction to this...
