Be careful what you find in the tall grass. Discovering an amber stone with a strange swirling red glow to it, WulfBane picked it up to handle it and give it a closer inspection. Two things were noticed immediately. First was the glow inside was moving like it was an open flame. The second was that the stone had a crack in it.

Did I say two things were noticed? I mean three because soon after WulfBane felt a sudden warmth as he had to shield his eyes from the bright light of the stone. Was it the stone emitting the light? For a moment he almost swore that his body was the source of the blinding flash. He also knew that there was an immense heat enveloping his body, but instead of a burning pain that he would expect, he heat was quite soothing and felt invigorating.

On the other side of the flash WulfBane saw that his form had changed. His hair and mane was fuller and his ears elongated. Behind was a large cluster of tails. Giving them a quick count, along with the sense of warmth persisting throughout his body confirmed that the former wolf was now imbued with the form and powers of a Ninetales.

But not just a Ninetales. The fractured Fire Stone allowed WulfBane to retain several of his recognizable lupine features. Not to mention the massive increase in size, stature, and musculature his new hybrid form granted him with.

If the stone made his physical strength as great as it had, WulfBane wondered how strong his newly gifted fire abilities were. “Only one way to find out,” the Pokémorph said as he attempted to change up and concentrate as much fire as he could.
