While Elm believes that "if a .44 can't get the job done then you shouldn't be shooting at it" Gabe is more of the mindset "The more penetration the better (bullets or otherwise)" Gabe likes to be noticed, when he shoots a gun he wants people to tremble at the sound of it. Gabe has a horrible temper but he's not that bad of a guy...
Video game, actually. "Borderlands". The first line is one of the random phrases Marcus (the weapons merchant) says when you visit one of the vending machines, and the second is one he says during the character selection screen, where he makes fun of each of the four characters. Well, except for Brick.
