Threat Level: 5 - Disastrous (Threat to numerous towns, a nation state, many ecosystems)
The Colossus is classified as a minor Arch Bael - a demonic entity possessing otherworldly destructive power. Despite its "minor" designation, it is still incredibly dangerous, as it boasts overwhelming physical strength. Its brutal strikes can send fully-armored knights flying, and it can smash through fortified castle walls like a battering ram. The Colossus also bears a degree of intelligence beyond the average Bael, as it observes and adapts to its opponents. However, it currently keeps to the shadows, surfacing only on rare occasions. It is likely being preserved as a specialized asset - but for what end, no one yet knows.
The Colossus's general weaknesses revolve around its lower than average mobility and speed. A lighter, faster opponent may be able to exploit openings in between its destructive swings to deal damage. Its regenerative capabilities also seem lesser in comparison to other Arch Bael - a severed appendage may take days to reform, rather than minutes. As such, numerous light attacks may be able to bring it down, but must be performed with flawless evasion, as even the slightest misstep could prove fatal.
Back at it with another Bael design. For now I'm calling him the Colossus, but that may change sometime down the line. I also might make his fist designs more simple, and may add flames coming out of his shoulders. But I think his design will do for now. I also dig how his legs have insectoid qualities - I was looking for a design element that looks pseudo-robotic, armor-like, and natural at the same time. Eventually I discovered coconut crabs and beetles as inspiration, and that really helped. I'll be aiming to make Bael limbs like this in the future. It also has the added bonus of making him look sorta like Pinky from Doom 3 - demonic torso, mechanical legs. Really adds to the unsettling factor. Overall I'm pleased with the turn out, and maybe in the future I'll make a design update. For now, enjoy~
