I was on one flight to San Francisco that some woman brought on board her emotional support cat. And she sat in the next row, and I'm deathly allergic to cats.
She had the cat out at the gate and was rubbing it like she was trying to get the genie inside to grant her a wish. Worse yet it was a short haired cat and the cat hair literally filled the air around her. I approached the airline employee at the gate and explained my situation and allergies and was already reacting to the dander in the air. The woman with the cat heard me and popped a shitfit and furiously stroked her cat more from head to tail, sending up more dander. Going as far saying "people are not allergic to cats, its all psychosomatic, he just hates my dear kitty cat!"
Soon two other passengers approached, both greatly allergic as well. and we demanded that we be placed in the front of the aircraft with her towards the back. The woman with the cat grew more upset and ran her hand up and down that poor cat faster and faster to where the cat was showing distress.
The airline told the woman she couldn't have the cat out of its carrier while on board and the woman loudly demanded that the 3...soon 3 more passengers made the same demands to be placed up front due to allergies, all showing signs and sneezing. The woman with the cat started screaming and demanding that the allergic people be removed from the flight.
The airline ended up putting her on another flight, and she screamed obscenities at us as we boarded. Fucking crazy cat lady.

What happened with you is better than what happened with another person that made the news

probably in your case it helped that multiple people had similar issues. otherwise that person and thier cat had more right to fly under the law than you

I used to be the backup ADA coordinator of the building I worked in. I was surprised to find out that a miniature horse was an acceptable service animal. Besides them though we were only required to allow in dogs. Other animals were not service animals. They were companion animals. And if they didn't serve an active purpose we couldn't let them into the building. So we were instructed to ask a simple question to people with inquires. "What service does the animal perform?" If the answer is emotional support then no. Their pet would not be allowed into the building.
Build a Bear sneakers for teddy bears. https://footwearnews.com/2017/focus.....-homes-316379/ Saw that in print a few years ago - story about someone taking their guide horse on a British Airways flight aross the Atlantic
It is one possibility. The forums mentioned that they only fit small minis. I would not trust them for wear as they are for bears that don't walk. A quick search frond other makers as well.
Nothing I am getting as I lack a mini horse. My srevice imaginary friend on the other hand gets all the best.

I had to deal with ADA service animal issues on my previous Job. Was very interesting to see the reaction of property management when I showed them the ADA guidelines and the fact that a guide horse was indeed allowed. Frankly the horse was better behaved than a lot of the humans on the property...
Yep, been going on for about 20 years now. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/.....re/2954170.stm
Have a battery powered blacklight - something for posters but it sure works wonders when camping in the AZ desert. Lights up all the scorps and centipedes like mad. I tend to run a red light in the shack at night and for some odd reason I can see the scorps very easily under it - kind of suspect it has something to do with some coatings on my glasses. Have the blue blocker coatiing - can see heat mirage well with them - blue line. Things moving under the red light tend to catch my attention quickly with those lenses
When I was working at a nuke plant in the mid 1980s, I sold Maglites to the other guards at a little over wholesale. I had several of my own, including a AA Mini Maglite with the filter kits. At a DOD facility in the late '80s, when I tried the red filter, other guards commented, remarking on my 'snooping around' (hey, it was my job). If I used the green filter, nobody seemed to notice. Go figure.
I tend to personally use a Surefire G2 I've had for the last 14 plus years - put a led bulb in it recently and picked up some rechargable CR123 batteries and charger on fleabay. That one light has been handy for all my years in security. Unarmed for 12 years or so, Armed over 2 years now
A woman in Missouri wants to keep three "emotional support" monkeys at her home.
The neighbors are scared shitless of the monkeys.

Service Animals, including the bloody miniature horses, I agree should be allowed on board. Service animals frequently have to be strong enough to aid or restrain their handler/owners. But HAVE THE PAPERWORK, not just a vest. Anyone can buy a vest for an animal online.
Emotional Support Animal?
...You'd have to have REALLY comprehensive paperwork, indicating you can't be medicated and this is the ONLY DAMN THING that works for you, to get on a notional airline I run. Since I don't and never will, run a public business. And show up in advance, because we'd be checking that shit.

This.
"Support animal? May I see their registration, please? License? Medical order? No, not the animal's, yours. Transport gear. I'm sorry, your paperwork is not in order, the registration is not recognized by the issuing organization, the reason given doesn't match your verbal statements, and you are in violation of animal transport regulations for support animals of this type."

Something I had learned and a part of the reason I no longer work at a convenience store, is that service animals do not have to have a harness or a leash in the event that the human requires the animal to move ahead of them. This superceeds any state or local law requiring leashes and any health code. Problem here is that it makes it impossible to ID an animal that is truly a service animal, for this make it super easy for someone to get away with taking a normal everyday pet into places where they should not be. Yes it is a felony to do this, but this makes proof much harder to trace.
In the ten years I’ve been working at my airport I have seen these stupid vests on the following.
2 stinky ass marmosets
1 possibly possessed chihuahua
An adorable mini pony
A pudgy little piggy
A festively plump turkey
A surprisingly well behaved capuchin
And one giant shaggy dog which I can best explain as Chewbacca in dog form.
Could not find the vest belonging to this one child’s pet tarantula though because I was too busy high tailing it.
Several coworkers swear they had to deal with 6 penguins when I was off, but I have no idea what penguins were doing in Florida unless they were going to Orlando.
I have seen some shit.

I've kidded they must have been sired by Cerebus.... did a quick image search and found confirmation https://farm4.staticflickr.com/3012.....479d315206.jpg
And hey, ultimately, whatever they're allowing on airplanes these days... could be worse. :)
