“Hey, can’t you give me a lift like that? You’re not gonna make me walk to work the whole way are ya”? Kaby’s human friend, Jericho, pleading for Kaby to get a piggy back ride. Kaby was a cloud dragon, and could hover from the ground as means of transportation. “Sorry friend, only room for one on in this vehicle, well…technically two, but I’m not sure you’d find it very accommodating…” Kaby, the blue and crème dragon, patted his round middle, teasing Jericho. Jericho huffed and sighed. “Yeaaah, I’ll pass. Not sure I want to be sticky like that before work.” “Hey come on, actually that’s fair.” Kaby chuckled, Jericho rolled his eyes, albeit with a smile. “Yeah yeah, you’re off the hook…this time.” Kaby scoffed. “Oh ya, like you’d do anything to your pal Kaby.” The blue dragon ruffled Jericho’s hair a bit, he had seniority, if only barely. “Hey, watch the hair!” Jericho grumbled as he tried fixing his hair, to which Kaby chuckled again. “Pfft, oh yeah, where is it you work? This is a new job, right?” Jericho licked his hand to try and set his hair straight. “Uhh, yeah, just got hired. It’s at that huge new mall they been building. It looks fancy, and from what I can tell they have a lot of restaurants at the food court. I’m working at the second to top floor, as a host.” Kaby leaned in closer to Jericho, raising his eyebrows up and down. “That kinda host?” He said with a mischievous grin, causing Jericho to blush somewhat. “Y-yeah, hey whatever it takes to make rent! Plus, the pay seems good so- oh turn right here, it’s at the end of the street, you should be able to see it now.” Kaby looked over where Jericho was pointing, he was right, it was a huge building. “Hmm…maybe I should go with ya, to make sure the food is safe and such.” Kaby patted his gut again, Jericho rolled his eyes again. “Suit yourself, but I’m not giving you my employee discount.”
As they both entered, Jericho got out his ID card and showed it to the front guard. “…they have guards here? For what?” Kaby asked, to which Jericho shrugged. “It is pretty new, and- “Jericho made an okay sign with his hand. “Boujee~” Kaby shook his head in disappointment and kept floating along. Jericho continued. “And cuz I’m an employee, they said they wanna make sure only the right people work here for some reason.” Jericho explained. “I guess that makes sense, if a bit extreme…anywaaays, where’s the food?” Kaby licked his mouth in anticipation. “I dunno dude, this is my second time being in here. Go be an explorer and have fun, there are a lot of pop up shops and stands right now.” Jericho looked around before heading towards a small elevator, when Kaby tried to get in Jericho held his hand out. “Ahh sorry, this is for employees only. It beats walking 7 flights of stairs.” Jericho cleared his throat. “Sorry friend, only room for one on in this vehicle, well…technically two, but I’m not sure you’d find it very accommodating…” Imitating Kaby’s voice before winking and closing the doors, to which Kaby wore an annoyed expression as he stuck his tongue out as Jericho rode up. The blue dragon tapped his chin as he looked around the venue, then up above. It was a gold mine of potential restaurants, and Kaby wanted to try them all. Kaby scoffed at the nearby elevator that Jericho took, ‘it was merely a formality’ he thought to himself as he floated upwards through the building. He used his keen dragon eyesight to sift through the various stores and restaurants, before one caught his eye. It was hard to miss; it was shimmery gold galore. Kaby floated over, it was on the 4th floor. In bright neon lights, the sign presented itself as “ALL, YOU WILL EAT!” Kaby frowned at the sign, he found it somewhat gaudy. “Shouldn’t it be All you can eat?” He shook his head and floated inside; it was empty. Figures, it was a new restaurant in a new building. The host rose up from behind the counter. “Welcome!” He said happily.
“Table for one sir?” The host greeted. “Uh, yeah…what’re your prices?” “30$!” The host replied. ‘30$? That’s pretty pricey…although, it smells like they have some good food…” Kaby pondered, before instinctively getting his wallet out and paying for the ticket. “Huh?” He didn’t even realize what happened. “Splendid! Now could I get you to sign this form?” ‘Form? Like a waiver?’ Kaby thought as he took the pen from the host, and hastily scribbled his name down. “Marvelous! Here is your pass.” The host brought out a ticket, it was more of a sticker actually, and planted right on Kaby’s tank top. “That way no one can bother you, follow me!” The host didn’t wait for a reply before heading to the dining area, but not before passing by the gift shop. Kaby’s eyes widened at the selection, not because the items were particularly good looking, but by huge their sizes were. ‘XXXXXL? And that’s one of their smallest shirts?’ Kaby scratched his head before hurrying along to where the host guided him. “Here is your table sir, I hope it’s comfortable!” Kaby wanted to ask a question, but before he could the host already went back to the front desk. Kaby took the opportunity to walk around the various kiosks, they each had a big sign over them, along with a counter. They each had a red 8 on a digital screen, coinciding with the amount of dishes that were in each kiosk. Kaby paid little mind to it as he went to get to work. The blue dragon went and picked up a sizable plate and started piling on some of his favorite foods. At kiosk 18, out of the 20, there were two rows of large pizza pies. Kaby looked around, still empty, he took one of the pizza’s whole. His ears perked up when a small ringtone played. The kiosk’s number went down from 8 to 7. “Hmm, maybe that’s how they figure out which need to be replaced?” Kaby shrugged, and headed back to his table. He rubbed his hands together in anticipation as he picked up a slice of meat lovers pizza, licking his mouth, and started to eat it. It was unbelievably cheesy, and the meat on top was so greasy it was oozing, just like Kaby liked it. Being an expert in this field, he was able to eat pizza slices in nearly two bites. The blue dragon took a huge chunk of pizza, chewed it and savored the toppings and gooey cheese, before eating the crust that was left. This went on for several minutes, eventually Kaby had cleared a whole pie. He let out a huff, and patted his content belly. “Aaa…this is definitely worth the price of admission…” The blue dragon left out a burp, he sheepishly smiled as he covered his mouth. “Heh, just more room for more pie~” He gleefully dug into the stack of pizza’s he had collected, each with an assortment of toppings. Slice after slice, crust after crust, Kaby absolutely gorged himself. Near the end of the last slice, he felt a bit, strained. He noticed his gut was pushing into the table. He was used to this sort of thing, his appetite often led to cramped spaces, if only temporary. Kaby pushed the table back somewhat to give himself some breathing room, before finishing the last bit of pie. Kaby let out a triumphant sigh as he rubbed his belly. “Man…I’m surprised no one else is here…this place is heaven…” Kaby’s belly peaked out more than usual from his tank top, to which he gave a sheepish blush. It was a satisfying feeling. Kaby let out one more sigh before attempting to get up, before being interrupted. “Is everything to your liking?” Kaby jumped a bit, even floating somewhat from his chair in surprise, before settling back down. “Y-you scared me! And uh, yeah it’s great! But I think I’ve had enough for now-“ “I’m sorry but you cannot leave until you finish everything.” Interrupted again, only this time Kaby didn’t jump, in fact he didn’t say a word for about 20 seconds. “I’m sorry, what-” “You must complete each of the stations if you want to leave, it was on the waiver you signed. Otherwise, you’ll be fined 20,000$.” “T-TWENTY THOUSAND?” Kaby bellowed. “Yes! This is our experimental pop up shop; you are the first to oblige. It’s a fair price no? All of this food, for only 30$. How lucky you are!” The host smiled, Kaby wore a shocked expression. The host grabbed a pocket watch. “Oh my, you have little less than 12 hours left, I’ll leave you to it!” The host walked back to the front desk, leaving the blue dragon alone with his mouth open as he processed the situation.
After a few minutes of sitting, Kaby quickly rushed to station number 1, titled “SUSHI”. He didn’t even bother with the plates, and just grabbed the plates of sushi from the kiosk and carried them over to his table. He carried two plates at a time, and quickly scarfed down the little pieces of fish and seaweed and whatever else. After the 8th plate, Kaby gave himself a rest, it was exhausting eating this much food…and it was only 5% of the way done! Kaby continuously rubbed his belly, it was greedily accepting all of the food, much to Kaby’s chagrin. “Hey, this isn’t supposed to be fun!” He said blushing, he was somewhat enjoying pushing his gut to its limit, although he wouldn’t admit it. Station 2 was next, the sandwich cart. The blue dragon didn’t even walk back to his seat this time, he just ate everything at the kiosk. He was swallowing sandwiches whole to get it over with faster, the adrenaline kicking in to help. After the 6th plate of sandwiches, Kaby took a step back. His tank top was riding up far more than it ever had, he couldn’t even pull it back down to cover his belly. He looked at his arms as well and squished them, they were thickening as well! This wasn’t normal, Kaby gulped, his belly growled in turn.
Cart after cart, Kaby’s figure and stance was shifting. He was shocked by how much he was taking in, and even more so with the growing girth that is his belly. He was nearly twice the size he was when he entered. Still, his belly showed no signs of stopping, neither did Kaby. Afterall, 20,000$ was on the line. At the 13th cart, Kaby noticed a bit of growth, he was somewhat looming over the kiosks instead of being about as tall as them. That didn’t matter, what mattered was getting the hell out of there to him. Kaby had a fast metabolism, but even he was worried by how he’d look by the end of this. His belly was lapping over his growing thighs, his tank top was little more than a bra at this point, revealing his warm plush gut to the elements. “Oh my, that won’t do! Here, complimentary!” The host exited as quickly as he entered, leaving behind a tank top. The XXXXXL that was at the gift shop. Kaby wanted to punch that man, but desperate times call for desperate measures. He slipped off his bra and finagled the new tank top on, it covered him quite nicely. He was embarrassed by how nicely it fitted, but he didn’t have time to dwell on it. There was barely 4 hours left, and he had 7 more carts to swallow up.
By the 17th cart Kaby could feel a draft by the bottom of his enormous gut, he couldn’t see it at this point, but he could feel himself outgrowing even this outrageously big piece of fabric. His stance was like that of a sumo wrestler, not quite waddling, but not able to take big steps anymore. It was easy to float, but Kaby worried of the prospect of not being able to continue walking, so he checked every now and then. So far so good, his thick legs were able to carry his weight with little trouble, that didn’t stop him from letting a sigh out from every test. Kaby shook his head and carried on to the last few carts, he could here the booming footsteps shake the room. The mighty blue dragon had to kneel down at this point just to reach into the Kiosks, growing several feet taller at this point. He didn’t even stop to savor each bite, just shoveled as much of the food as he could into his mouth before chewing for nearly a minute. Every time he swallowed; he could feel the inches piling onto his waistline. Still, he could nearly see the finish line.
After nearly 10 hours in this god forsaken place, the hefty dragon made his way to the 20th cart, the desert cart. With about 2 hours left to spare, Kaby decided to relax and sit on the floor. His gut pooled into his lap more than ever before, something that Kaby was actually quite liking. He rubbed it; it was still fairly plump in shape. As if the dragon had merely scaled up in size, along with a gut four times as big that is. He daintily picked up each dessert and tossed them into his maw, they were all quite good, even after the cacophony of food that had hit his palate thus far. He rubbed his gut with contentness, now that he was almost done, he was enjoying himself quite a bit. He reached in for the last dessert and threw it into his mouth, before hearing a DING. He looked up at the counter, it had changed to a nice green 0. He looked around at the other Kiosks, they all had the same number, 0. “Congratulations!” The host exclaimed. “See, that wasn’t so hard was it-“ This time Kaby interrupted. “I can leave now, right?” Despite how content he was with the food, he still wanted to punch the jerk that kept him here. “Yes yes, you may now leave. Here, have this as a going away present!” He tossed a hefty piece of fabric towards Kaby.
“Oh, and by the way, physically assaulting an employee would also breach the waiver.” Recited the host.
“No, wouldn’t dream of it.” Kaby rolled his eyes, before making his exit.
Jericho looked at the clock, it was a quarter passed 11. He was beginning to worry about his friend. “Hmm, he’s not returning my texts…wonder if-“He stopped himself as he noticed a shadow, looming over him. It was Kaby, floating behind him a few feet off the ground, sporting a new 10XL tank top.
“Hey, I got some extra space now if you need a lift.” He said, confidentially patting his now massive gut.
