I play a bit of D&D, and one of the things I do sometimes during parts of game or in some off-time is doodle sketches of the characters I play. And well, I figured I'd scan a few and throw them online just in case anyone is curious about the terrible nerdery that is my weekend.
I apologize in advance that the next parts of this comment will likely be saturated with NERD.

Amber haets drawing metal and armour. Arharejg...details alone.
And yeah...I'm one of those wierdos who decided to make a female-figured warforged. Cause dangit, its a fantasy world where beholders are boyant naturally...I can add metal-bewbs to a construct!

Female warforged are often a point of bickering for some peeps. It comes mainly from the fact that the vast majority of warforged were constructed en-masse in a particular style. And while it was possible for someone to order a smaller amount more customized, most people don't want to think about the type of person who would want particularly a female figured one.
In Orchid's case, her design was sort of a testing prototype (along with four others) because the group commissioning wanted a set of warforged that didn't seem quite so...intimidating. Since the set were supposed to be healers and tending to the injured and sick, they wanted a design that was less daunting than the usual bulkier model warforged came in.

Certainly not a point for me! I for one, love things that challenge stereotypes through creativity :)
But the detail...wow, I could not have thought of a better person to do this concept justice. This is simply superb, Amber. I cannot begin to tell you just how much more I respect you now... :)

Brilliant point and excellent case for why some may be built 'Fem'
The vast majority had been built as 'Male' type, actually base male/gender neutral. [They don't have winkies]
The vast majority had been ordered by Men, not saying this as sexist, but men do not care what something looks like for the most part and there was a War on, women do put more thought into appearance [again, not meaning to sound sexist] and would therefore order a specific design type to be made, perhaps even calling up great artist to be part of the design process.

Point of Order:
When someone says "There are no female shaped Warforged!"
please have them point to the exact page and section of the book where it says this exactly.
The Vast majority of Nerds out there are basing the whole silly argument on on implied concepts by the art in the book alone.
This is ignorant thinking and has NO place in a Fantasy game, the very Soul of Fantasy is the Grand "What If?"
When you remove that, you might as well be playing D20 Modern with just plane human characters and villians.

w00t, warforged! That is amazing!
We actually had a funny part of our campaign... where a few characters... had to explain how biological beings are born from their own 'forge'
...
What? It was waaay too funny at the time XD
That warforge didn't ask many questions after that :3

In our campaign, Orchid pretty much knew about the birds and the bees due to her being a healer and thus medically trained to understand the cycle of birth and life. However...one of the characters in the campaign is gay so getting explained the concept of homosexuality was a real doozy on her. XD
