Yeh, i heard some peole even plan on making insect farms to not sell us bug burgers but farm the protains which can be used in food.

Pretty sure they already do, and IIRC there are plenty of places where you can just buy crickets for human consumption.

Personally, the squick of eating bugs seems overblown to me

That what Im talking about lol. Most people still repulsed about idea of eating cooked insect, and we yet to fine better ways to cook them. I personally ok with eating fried crikets, thou wount even touch flies no matter how they were cooked. So i gues best to extract proteins from the bugs and make some form food like we make from soya maybe. I hate soya so it doesnt sound all that bad to me.

I'm not sure you can grow flies large enough to be worth toe effort like you can crickets and grasshoppers
