The inclusion of the judges really pissed me off, they pretty much removed the original tactics from Ivalice. There is no continuity, and that bothers me.
I have lost my excitement for the Final Fantasy franchise since X. In my opinion, IX was the last good one, and it was great. The plots have become so copy/paste and the characters have been pretty one-sided. (not to mention that the last few have had teenage know-nothings as main characters, no responsibility, no drama, just action) I just can't feel for any of the new characters. Especially in twelve. Really the only characters I liked in that game were Balthier and Fran, and they were auxiliary characters...

Yeah the judges ruined it eventually but I still enjoyed the tactical gameplay.
Now see, 12 SUCKED in general. Vaan? Major pussy. I felt NO confidence playing this character. Yeah 12's battle system was nifty because to me, the whole "BAM I hit you okay now you attempt to hit me" thing was getting stale. Yes 9 was great but my favorite is still 7 though I digress. 13 is supposed to be introducing new elements to the battle system and let's face it, the graphics will be amazing and we ALL know Uematsu will outdo himself yet again.
BTW in case you haven't heard the rumor flying around, they'll be releasing FF15 along with the PS4 sometime in 2011-2012 and FF15 is supposedly the long-awaited remake of 7.

I won't play 13 until I hear a lot of damn good stuff about it. !2's battle system was just a new look, nothing really changed. The gambit system made it easy to just walk away on stop playing. The game was boring.
7 didn't grab me enough for me to get excited about a sequel, and if they are already thinking about a next-gen system, then the PS3 has failed it's purpose.

*shrug* I suppose. I still think it's gonna be fun to play with. Although right now, I'm awaiting Monday. I'm awaiting it profusely. WHY?! Cuz I've got a spare xbox coming in the mail (mine got E74'd and is being repaired) and the midnight release of Mass Effect 2 occurs at midnight.
Yeah. Any idea when the multiplayer beta is supposed to be? I've been watching for it but to no avail. I hope it's better than ODST....ODST was good, but it severely lacked replay value. And taring my attention from ODST for Modern Warfare 2 was easier than taring a slippery ball from an infant's hands.
