These doodles are taken by the test sketches I made a month ago to draw the first drawing of the tailmaw serie (this http://www.furaffinity.net/view/32978016/).

The first 4 comes directly from the sketches, while the last 2 are made new for this drawing. I tested many shapes, all taken by my snout but changed to be a tailmaw.

I found these doodles very useful as a training to draw expressions. One of the most important things to give an expression to a character are the eyes. Tailmaws have no eyes, so to portray a specific feeling on them you are forced to focus on other things: mouth, fur, ears (or floppy horns, like here) and the whole body language.

Now I'm testing with different carachters (and different shapes taken from their specie) and other expressions with some volunteers, so other pics like this will come shortly. Thanks in advance to all volunteers helped me with this interesting experiment! ^.=.^
