I got permission but never got around to putting this (and this) scene into the "Born of the Storm" stories.
In this cross-setting encounter, bounty hunter Miss Chevious and Star Hunter McClaw thought they were going to share a quiet meal at a good restaurant. With those two things didn't stay quiet for long!
Artwork drawn for me by Randy Zimmerman in my "Request" con sketchbook during Motor City Comic Con 2008, coloring (unshaded) by me.

He's a Star Hunter here -- they take "be prepared" seriously.
My planned scenario for this was him taking her to a nearly empty restaurant (they're the only customers; he claimed he got them to open early) only for the attack to happen before the food arrived. The upshot was she knew she was going to be ambushed, he knew too, and a trap was set. So he not only has his visible .50cal revolver and concealed tiny-cal machine pistol, but is backed up by the undercover Hunters in the kitchen and a "gang" or two outside. And the restaurant is officially closed for renovations (not started yet).
