Cancer...the great "equalizer" Rich or poor, young or old. It takes it's victims

I am sorry for your loss, it's not easy to endure watching a loved one wilt, Nor when it's over the guilt of relief from:
"At least their pain has stopped"

Time will help. Albeit Slowly. My only suggestion is this. If tears well up every time you think about them
shed them. You must mourn. Let those unhappy hot tears flow and with them the pain of loss. Your loved ones
would not want their memory to cause you pain.
That's life's greatest and cursed treasure, with us mortals. We can forget. We can eventually forget the pain of loss
but, if we're not careful. We'll forget the joys of life. So treasure those happy memories of your loved ones.
Keep their memories alive in your heart, and when you finally reach your end of the race. You'll see them again.
Their memories of your life, a bolster to your will, to keep you going.

Not gonna lie, that almost made me cry just from reading that.

Thank you... It certainly hasn't been an easy thing to live with. Even when you see it coming, it still devastates you... It doesn't help that I'm high functioning autistic and she was the first time I dealt with death. It ruined me at first and left me a complete mess, but it's slowly hurting less and less with each day. Now that I've paid homage to her with this, it's almost okay now. My heart is almost at peace with this matter now.

It was meant to comfort.

I'm thankful time has granted you peace. Or at least you've mourned where it doesn't hurt to remember
Can't say I know what Autism does, I hear about it but, I know this. We all deal with death differently. It's sadly NOT my first time
I've buried more family and friends, I think his karmically fair but, that's how i know what steps it takes to keep from going mad.

If this homage brings you peace. Then it's a welcome thing. May you continue to grow a stronger and the pain weaker every day
