After all these years, I finally got my hands on one of the trashiest SF horrors of all time: Xtro from 1982. What made me crap my pants as a kid was the alien-creepy as flying fuck. So here I decided to take a shot at doodling up both forms as close to the originals as possible.

Yeah as I was thinking that bit about screen time I wrote it out. But then again, the dad just never seems to be that threatening to me.
Maybe it's just because I'd been jaded by films like "Saw" before seeing this. I don't know, for a film that got banned in several countries, I was at least expecting the birthing scene to be a little more jarring...

I guess... : /
But you want some really messed up "nasties?"
Try "Last House on the Left," "House by the Edge of the Park," and "Cannibal Holocaust."
"Henry, portrait of a Serial Killer" came too late, but that definitely would've made the list.
Now THOSE are films that'll fuck you up good.

Srsly though, the first one gave me nightmares. The colored buzzsaw, the bathroom scene (where the woman is cocooned up and lays those eggs), the part at the end where the alien screams and kills that one guy...and then one of the eggs hatching and attacking the woman. Christ, gives me the shivers just thinking about it.
