Confusion along with disorientation would be evident for the subatomic protogen as it laid on the surface of the unknown object, limbs bent at awkward angles yet nothing broken. Their senses would clear as a groan sounded from them, arms shifting to press down on the object and push itself up slightly, eyes opening to try and look at what it hit. Seeing the swirling blips of light inside of the object easily caught the protogen's attention, even shifting their hands to try and 'touch' some of them, like a cat seeing the dot from a laser pointer for the first time. Pressing down on one spot though would yield surprise when the surface of the object rippled and its hand passing through, a squeak of surprise coming as the protogen tried to pull its hand free. Its other hand that was pressing down on the object would be next to start sinking through, throwing them into a state of panic before trying to use their legs to push against the quicksand properties of the object, only to further complicate the issue as they too joined in sinking beneath the surface. At this point, it could only squirm in its spot as it sank further into the orb, whimpers sounding out as it had to tilt its head up in a futile attempt to keep above the surface. It wouldn't last as it fully sunk into the object, leaving a sizable ripple to travel along the surface of it.
