So an idea which has been building up inside me for a while and went through a couple of revisions in my head even as I was writing this but I finally managed to get this modular story out. I'm actually pretty proud of this one.
000000000000000
I'll introduce myself first. My name is Julianne. I'm a Minccino, female and shiny. I am a bit popular as a result, a lot of guys hit on me and while I don't mind the flirt or cuddles, I haven't been intimate yet. The most someone has gotten is a kiss which some may say is forward but it is the only thing I am rather liberal on really. Well, that and being a fearless daredevil and risk taker. That is how I got into the situation I'm in now.
So there was some kind of new locale which had opened up and everyone had been talking about it. A cave which had been unoccupied for the longest time got some kind of occupant and it had been blocked off for a while by a glowing barrier of light. Nobody could get in and everybody was wondering what it was.But a couple of days ago it had opened up again and a sign was placed outside it. That had attracted a lot of attention and I had read the sign very carefully. It was a set of rules for this event.
In the depths of the cave, which had been expanded, there was a special mystery prize. The sign didn't elaborate on what it was but it said that anybody who could get to the end would have full rights to whatever was in the depth. But the sign warned that the cave was now a labyrinth full of traps and those who entered it ran the risk of not being able to leave even if their survival was guaranteed. That had deterred a number of people from entering, but after a lot of thought I had decided to take the plunge and go in.
I should note, as I went in I did feel a chill going through me, it's tough to describe the type of chill I felt but my whole body tingled and briefly went numb, then I felt normal again. I passed some more signs as I descended down which gave some more explanations. It once more stated that what I was entering was a huge labyrinth filled with traps and said that while survival wasn't guaranteed, being able to leave was not. I did learn some new information though. Once I had entered the maze there was o backing out. The only ways out were if I got to the end, where there would be an exit, or if somebody else in the maze was to find and save me if I got captured by one of the traps. The slope down eventually got so steep that I slipped. I think anybody would have slipped on it, and I slid down through an opening and into a single room with four openings, the start of the labyrinth. The slope and hole I'd fallen through seemed designed to make climbing out an impossibility.
The signs hadn't been kidding about it being a labyrinth. The caves descended underground, then it was a well lit up maze, lit with torches attached to the walls. And they weren't kidding about the traps either. I was passing by a number of them as I was trying to navigate my way through it, each one activated by a pressure plate. There were the usual pitfalls, which I did notice some spikes at the bottom of. There were also some traps which fired not darts, but grappling hooks. It was a good thing I was nimble on my feet.
I was actually wondering how survival could be guaranteed considering some of the traps. I even saw some blade coming out of the walls which I had to try and dodge. I say try and at one point I'm sure one of them got me. I didn't notice at the time but after I had evaded some I'd stopped to rest, then felt some split in my left side. I could put my paw in the opening and feel skin inside, it was so odd. But it wasn't a major opening, so I didn't think anything of it. I kept on going after that little break.
In fact that little 'wound' as it was had healed within a minute or so which meant I had forgotten about it for the most part and just passed it off as either an odd event or even an illusion. Either way I was continuing on through this labyrinth and trying to get to the center. I saw some more types of traps along the way, slamming walls which could easily crush. There were even spikes shooting up from the ground, I almost got impaled a couple of times. It made me wonder again how survival could be guaranteed through this. Yet I was in and I couldn't get out, so I was still going through this huge labyrinth.
I found another room which I thought I could use as a break and I stopped in a room which had a central cylindrical column in it. The column had grooves evenly spaced apart and when I put my paw to one spot between them and pushed on it I found they could rotate. That made me back up, I didn't know what it was but I also heard some footprints. At least I thought it was, it may have been some stones tumbling. Either way I turned away from the column and went to leave the room.
That was when it happened. I stepped on a pressure pad again and I had been used to jumping back whenever I stepped on one. It was a muscle memory as the traps had always been in front of me, but this trap was different. It came from behind me, the very column which I had been examining in fact. I felt something sharp pierce into my back and go right through me. When I looked down, I saw an arrow head coming out of my chest, then before I could do anything hooks dug into me from the arrow head and then it began to pull me back suddenly, right up against that column.
This was baffling. Despite some kind of arrow head going right through my chest it didn't hurt, but it had pinned me to the column. That was when I noticed the positioning of the grooves, two of them were positioned at my neck and just above the base of my tail, where my hips were. I still tried to pull back, but something else stopped me. Shackles coming out from the column around my feet and around my neck. I was secured in place and impaled to the column, yet alive and not in any pain. It didn't feel like I was even wounded, but it felt my body was made of dough.
There were no footprints this time, but I did see something out of the corner of my eye. There was a flash of light then another Pokemon appeared. I couldn't believe my eyes. Of all Pokemon to appear, it was a Mew, a Pokemon I had only ever heard about and thought was a myth. The Mew was coming closer to me and I couldn't help but look at it in silence when it spoke up. "Welcome to the labyrinth. Before you got caught, you cleared about a quarter of the maze."
Only a quarter of the maze? I thought I had been going for a very long time yet only gotten that far? Was this mew even the owner? I could tell by his voice that the Mew was a male though. He was right up to me and looking over me.. Now my initial surprise wa going down I was getting my nerve together and I could address him. "Are you the one who made and owns this labyrinth?"
"Why of course." The mew sounded like a smooth, flirtatious gentlemen. It was a tone which made me smile and he in fact winked at me. That was a gesture I couldn't help myself with, I winked back but then blushed when the Mew put his paw on my cheek to properly examine me. "You're the first one to even try. I hope that your venture here attracts others, but if it doesn't then don't worry." Then he kissed my cheek and couldn't help but gaze at him as he continued to speak. "You won't be lacking in company. I'll come to see you often. So you won't ever get lonely."
"But I'm stuck here until somebody saves me right?" I was reaffirming the rules to the Mew and I saw him nod, but he was silent. Maybe he was letting me speak for once. But for some reason I felt relaxed despite there being an arrow head grappling hook in my chest and shackles connecting my neck and feet to the wall. "At least I have somebody cute to keep me company while I'm here. But... how can you say that you can guarantee survival here?"
"And you ask this while you have a grappling hook through your chest." The Mew had responded to my question with a tease and to indicate he even touched my chest, then stroked my body right to the point where the device was piercing out of my body, so there couldn't be any denial that it was going through me. But I did see his friendly look shine through, maybe even a bit of loneliness but also a desire to play. "But you are right. The traps look harmful. But I'm sure you noticed an odd feeling as you entered?"
That was coming back and now I was putting it together in my mind. I then did remember what I had passed off as an unusual incident when my side had been partially sliced open yet I hadn't felt any pain or like I was injured. "I did notice that feeling." I looked to the eyes of the Mew, briefly until I heard something come out of the column. When I glanced down, there was a blade at my right side, against my right thigh, and beginning to press against me. I then felt a telekinetic force on my tail pushing it down and out of the way of the groove the blade was coming out of, but I wasn't fighting it out of curiosity. "Does that... protect against injury."
"It protects against death my dear." The Mew had corrected me and then I felt it. A pressure going into my thigh and a cold feeling inside me. I could see the blade going right through me. Morbid curiosity and the fact that I was restrained was what kept me still and from panicking despite that I was being sliced into. "I can see it in your look too. You're wondering if this is all real or an illusion. Well I can assure you, this is very real."
To prove this point, when the blade came out from the other side of my body the Mew put his paws on my chest, then rotated the column segments I was on. Well, the column segments my head and body was on. My feet and hip region got let behind where they were, yet when I tried to move my tail I could still move it. I still had all forms of motion and sensory input down there. I could probably walk away if I wasn't locked to the column. I was stunned into silence, I was only able to look to him in awe.
He could tell that I was unable to say anything due to the surprise. His paw went back to my cheek and he was bringing himself closer to my face. His other paw brushed up to my ears and lifted them both up, holding them against the column. "And there's no limits to what you can survive either. Just hope you don't spook anyone who comes for you." He held my ears to the column and I could feel more arrowheads, going through the tops of my ears. It was like an ear piercing through both of my ears, but like my chest when the arrowheads were through, they locked in place and spikes dug into my ears to pin them up. Now I couldn't even move my head. "You'll need to explain that to anybody who finds you."
"Alright." By now my nerves had settled down and I was looking to him, but I wondered just what the spikes in my ears were meant to do beside from hold me in place. Then I remembered the groove aimed at my neck and when I glanced another blade was out, pressing into the left side of my exposed neck. It was just under the shackle around my neck, then I realised what they were for. My attention turned back to the Mew. "Well... I can't move away from here..." I winked at him once more and smiled. "My name's Julianne. The only thing I won't allow with me yet is intercourse. you can kiss me, but that's the most I'll allow. Otherwise, have at it with me."
"I wouldn't go to your limits anyway Julianne" The Mew's response brought a comfort and something about being here seemed more comforting. It felt odd to be a damsel in distress who wasn't in any distress. "You can call me Zeid. It means to grow." As he introduced himself I looked to the blade at my neck. The pressure was building, I felt like it would only be a matter of moments before my neck gave way. Maybe Zeid was making the blade go more slowly for me.
"Thank you Zeid. And you have a very nice name." I smiled to him, then having gotten my reply and my consent he closed his eyes and put his lips to mine. i reciprocated,, closing my eyes and kissing him back. That was when I felt the pressure on my neck fade but also felt something sliding through my neck, yet the kiss continued. I felt that the blade was actually decapitating me, yet I still felt as alive as ever.
Then the blade came out of my neck and the Mew put his tail to my chest. Pushing on my chest, that portion of the column rotated, yet my head stayed in place. Zeid actually rotated the segment with my head too, but then stopped and pulled back from the kiss. I had been arranged around the column in an equilateral triangle, head at one corner, chest and stomach at the second and my hips tail and feet at the third point. "I hope you have no other business on the surface Julianne, as you won't be leaving for a while. Until you're saved."
"I have nothing else planned Zeid. I made sure to tie up any affairs before I came here." Now I knew why my ears had been spiked to the column. Without a body to support my head that was what kept my head suspended in the air and the piercing in my chest kept my body suspended. Surprisingly it was a comfortable position, the only thing I couldn't do was stretch my legs but I could slightly crouch if I ever felt a cramp in them.
Zeid responded by giving me one last kiss right on the mouth, one which lasted for a good few seconds before he pulled back. "Very well Julianne. I'll let you recover a bit and get used to your new position.. I hope you can sleep." With that Zeid smiled, then he disappeared in a flash of light. Now I knew he had teleported to me and away, but it had left me alone again. At least until he came back to check on me. being fixed to this spherical column in pieces, I couldn't do much. Except hang around, literally.
