• Biography: Masuyo is one of the 16 adepts born to Junichiro and Palutena, being the older twin sister to fellow adept Reiko. Both were born a day after the last of the 5th ½ mermaid line, Lysimache, came into the world. As with her fellow adept siblings, Masuyo was found out to be an adept the moment Juni spotted her making snake venom he had collected for antivenin creation mold into various shapes, as well as making a similar goop appear in her hands. It was immediately identified as poison and Juni stopped her before any harm was done. Knowing that the poison was not magic born, it was correctly surmised that the poison conjured was the work of septimal power. Masuyo was given the offer to train to control her septima and unlock more of its power, and it was an offer she couldn’t refuse at all. During this time, she also learned the arts of Ninjutsu, too, granted in her mind, poison and ninjas go together perfectly. And it did fit perfectly as this enabled her to master the power of her septima rather easily, and within days, too. However, Masuyo and Reiko weren’t permitted to travel until they were 16. Though the wait was long, it was worth while as it enabled them to hone their skills in that time. By the time Masuyo and Reiko were 16, they had sworn to do all they can to defeat the evils of the multiverse. Especially if that evil is the notorious Sumeragi. Masuyo comes off as a caring & kind individual to her family and those she calls friends but proves herself to be a sadist who is motivated to harm people without mercy. The fact she makes use of her septima to achieve this hardly helps either. Nonetheless, Masuyo likes learning about, and observing venomous creatures. However, being a sadist, she finds no fun in torturing her enemies if she can’t hear them scream. The most knowledgeable on venomous snakes.
• Abilities: As a human attuned to the 7th stage of the lifewave, Masuyo is a powerful adept, yet ranks as an A-Rank adept, but is capable of competing with her high-ranking adept sisters. Masuyo has an affinity for the Toxicity Septima, which grants the ability to wield and utilize a large variety of poisons. The poisons she can create with her septima range from painful venoms, to fatal poisons, but her poisons hardly prove fatal if her victim has a very strong resistance to venom and poison. It's also been observed to utilize acids as well. Either way, she has a huge variety to choose from, but often chooses to have them induce painful stinging sensations throughout the body as opposed to granting a fast & painless death. As a result of how toxic her Septima is, it's not a lie when she tells her opponent "You don't have the antidote for my poison!" Aside from this, she is also a skilled Kunioichi, too, knowing the arts of the ninja like the back of her head, and these skills, along with the full potential of her septima, become more pronounced the moment Masuyo taps into her dragonstone to weaponize. She is never seen without her shuriken, kunai, or ninjato. Even when weaponized. Her attacks and special skill are as follows.
o Poison Sting: Masuyo fires a multitude of poison needles at her opponent, each having a chance to inflict poison.
o Acid Burst: Masuyo flings a pink glob of burning acid that bounces about before bursting into multiple smaller acid bits.
o Cloning: Mausyo creates 5 clones of herself to confuse her opponent. Should a clone be hit instead of the real Masuyo, Masuyo will attack her target immediately with her ninjato & instantly poison her target. When pushed enough, she will make 10 clones of herself instead of 5.
o Venom Drench: Masuyo unleashes a wave of venom to drench her opponent in a paralyzing poison.
o Venoshock: Mausyo throws a bolt of venom at her target. Damage is doubly critical when a target is poisoned so Masuyo will always use this only when an opponent is poisoned.
o Sludge Bomb: Masuyo forms a ball of toxic sludge and hurls it at the opponent. The resulting explosion from the bomb causes poisoning.
o Acid Barrier: Masuyo forms a shield of powerful acid. The barrier doesn’t last forever and contact with the barrier may inflict poisoning and can melt metal weapons easily.
o Venom Shuriken: Masuyo forms shuriken out of liquid poison and flings about 3 to 5 shuriken at the opponent. Each shuriken has a good chance to poison.
o Cross Poison: Masuyo unveils two ninjato in her hands, arms them with poison, and promptly dashes at her target, slashing them diagonally. Good chance to leave the victim poisoned.
o Sludge Wave: Masuyo sends out a toxic wave of sludge at the opponent. Those hit by it are left coated in damaging sludge.
o Venomous Downpour: “Toxins burn the flesh/Instilling new agony/as death claims its soul. Venomous Downpour!” Masuyo’s Special Skill. She first makes a poisoned cloud in the sky and then has it start pouring down venom laced rain. As it rains, blobs of venom start bouncing about like with Acid Burst, only these get bigger as the rain goes on and each venom blob deals more damage the bigger it gets. Masuyo concludes the attack by making the venom blobs and remaining rain form into giant blades, then has them impale the nearest targets, inflicting massive damage and leaving the targets badly poisoned.
