Young Anthros (Part 2)(Season 1 Chapter 17)

Within the Castle of the Syndicate of Malevolence, Morgana, now in her younger form, Mora, spun around happily in her room with her beloved plush doll Cindy Sunshine,
“Oh Cindy, it’s wonderful! I’m young again after so long! And all without Grumm’s help, I bet he never intended to make me younger anyway, I feel so amazing!” said Mora, her tone was ecstatic. After spinning around for a while, Mora collapsed onto the hammock in her room, and moments later she realized Dio stood near her door,
“Oh! Uh, hi Dio… how long have you been standing there?” Mora asked,
“Not very long, I’m just curious, you can still use your pictomancy while in this younger form right?” Dio asked,
“Of course,” Mora replied,
“Excellent, don’t forget that I’ll be needing ingredients to use the resurrection spell one more time, I kept my end of the agreement, so don’t forget to honor your end,” Dio instructed,
“Yes of course, you’ll get your ingredients don’t worry, I just wanted to enjoy being young for a bit before I went back to helping out big bad guys with creatures I bring to life… that weird hair guy, can he make me this young forever?” Mora asked,
“If he succeeds,” Dio replied in a quiet tone,
“What?” Mora inquired, Dio shook his head,
“Nothing, enjoy your youth girl, just don’t forget our agreement, you wouldn’t like me when I’m angry, and I won’t show mercy simply because you’re a girl,” Dio commented before he took his leave and exited Mora’s room. Mora picked up a small nearby brush and started brushing what little bit of hair Cindy Sunshine had on her head.

Meanwhile in Orion City, Kat, Panthro, Winston and Kuriboh we're rushing towards Doggie, who was currently being turned younger by Sethan, a stand bound to the shadow of a man named Alessi. When the other Anthros made it over to Doggie, Sethan retreated back to Alessi who remained hidden around a corner, before the Anthros could hear Alessi run away. When Doggie stopped glowing, he was revealed to not only look much younger, but his clothes were completely different, he wore a grey sleeveless tunic that extended all the way down to his ankles over a dark grey long sleeve shirt with a red sash around his waist. Doggie caught his breath and took a moment to examine himself,
“Doggie, are you alright?” Panthro asked,
“That voice… you’re that kid that called me earlier,” Doggie commented, caught off guard by his own voice sounding less mature,
“I tried to warn you, it’s me Panthro!” Panthro explained. Doggie examined Panthro for a bit,
“Huh, you do like look Panthro… and come to think of it, you look like Kat, and you look like Winston… and you’re Kuriboh,” Doggie commented upon noticing the other Anthros beside Panthro,
“That’s right,” Panthro replied with a nod,
“What happened? Why are you guys so young?... Why am I so young? What’s going on here?” Doggie asked in confusion. Kat took a moment to briefly explain to Doggie the situation with Zero, and Alessi,
“So he wants to take me with him back to the Syndicate, but first he wants to find the rest of the Anthros and make them younger so they won’t be able to fight against him,” said Kat, concluding his explanation to bring Doggie up to speed,
“I see, that’s quite a troublesome situation…” Doggie commented,
“Where are Beast and Mercenary?” Winston asked,
“Not to far from here, if we hurry we might be able to make it to them before Alessi does,” Doggie explained,
“Then let’s go, it’s unfortunate that our two fastest Antthros became younger and weaker, but I guess we’ll just have to work with what we have,” Panthro commented,
“Wait! Doggie, I have an idea,” Kat explained, causing the other Anthros to turn their heads towards him,
“What is it Kat?” Doggie inquired,
“You’re stronger and faster in your ranger form right? Why don’t you transform and scout out for Beast and Mercenary?” Kat suggested,
“Oh hey that’s actually a good idea, and Doggie, while you do that we can check the east to see if we can’t find Sulley, Jon and Leomon,” Panthro added. Doggie then reached into his tunic and pulled out his morpher, which appeared much bigger in his smaller hands,
“Alright then, SPD Emergency!” said Doggie as he activated his morpher and was briefly enveloped by a bright light, before the light cleared and to the other Anthro’s surprise, revealed Shadow Ranger at his normal size. Doggie saw the confused look on his allies faces,
“What is it?” Doggie inquired, comedically his voice still sounded young,
“How are you adult size? I was kind of expecting to see mini shadow ranger,” Kat commented,
“Ah, well you see on top of protecting us from being damaged, the suits can also give younger individuals worthy of inheriting the power of a ranger an appearance to match their respective group, for example if you look in the ranger archives, the Power Ranger Turbo team had a member named Justin, who was younger than his fellow rangers, but still looked like his team mates while morphed,” Doggie explained,
“Fascinating,” Winston commented,
“Yep, anyway we better hurry and find our team mates before that Alessi guy finds them,” Doggie commented,
“Right, lets split up Anthros,” said Panthro before he, Kat, Winston and Kuriboh headed towards the eastern part of the city, while Doggie headed towards the north.

Doggie ran around the northern part of the city at a blinding speed for several minutes before stopping near a street lamp,
“Geez, how hard can it be to spot a big beast man and a big white tiger ma-” said Doggie as he turned around and accidentally bumped into a small anthro white tiger boy, causing the boy to fall on his butt,
“Oh! I’m so sorry!” said Doggie as he extended a hand to the tiger boy. Upon helping the tiger boy up, Doggie saw that the boy wore a red sleeveless tunic with a thin black belt, beige colored leggings, and a pair of small black boots. When the tiger boy saw doggie his eyes widened,
“Doggie?” the tiger boy asked in surprise,
“Wait… Mercenary?” Doggie inquired, recognizing the pattern of the dark grey stripes on the tiger boy’s fur, the tiger boy nodded,
“You wouldn’t believe what happened to me, it was some wicked sorcery!” young Mercenary commented,
“You touched a strange shadow and almost instantly became much younger…” Doggie replied,
“Huh, I guess you would believe it, but yeah, it’s a shame, I’m so small I can’t even lift my greatsword,” Mercenary explained,
“That’s unfortunate, but we have other problems to worry about, do you know where Beast is?” Doggie inquired,
“Over here,” replied a youthful sounding voice that came from behind Doggie and Mercenary. The two Anthros turned their heads to see Beast in a much younger state, and very different clothes, such as a blue tunic with a golden sash, a large red cape draped over his shoulders that’s held together with a golden rope, and armored leggings with old fashioned silver shoes, with gold accenting various parts of Beast’s outfit. Doggie and Mercenary looked at Beast in disbelief as he approached them,
“Adam… what are you wearing?” Doggie inquired,
“Something I wore during my youth, I’m a prince you know,” Beast explained,
“Yeah we know, though you usually don’t wear things that silly,” Mercenary commented,
“It’s not silly, it’s regal!” Beast replied defensively,
“Guys, focus, did you see a man with stupid hair?” Doggie asked,
“Yeah, in fact the weird shadow that turned me younger was coming from him, though after I turned younger I didn’t see where he went,” Beast explained,
“Me neither…” Mercenary added, Doggie sighed,
“That’s not good,” Doggie commented as he got out his communicator.

As Panthro, Kat, Winston and Kuriboh were looking around the eastern part of the city, Panthro heard his communicator ring, and promptly answered it,
“Hello?” said Panthro,
“Panthro, it’s Doggie, Beast and Mercenary were already turned younger,” Doggie explained through the call,
“What?!... that’s bad, that weird hair guy works fast… alright, head towards the southern part of the city, after we find Sulley, Jon and Leomon, hopefully still as adults, we’ll meet up with you guys there,” Panthro instructed,
“Understood,” Doggie replied before hanging up. As Panthro put up his communicator, Kat sighed,
“I can’t believe that creep got most of us…” Kat commented,
“Stands are tricky things to deal with, all it takes is staying in that guy’s shadow for a second or two, and boom, back to being a kid,” Winston commented,
“Wait a sec… stand… Oh! Panthro can I see your communicator for a sec?” Kat asked, holding out his hands expectantly. Panthro took out his communicator once more and placed it in Kat’s hands, who immediately started using it,
“Uh, sure pal, are you planning to contact Jon, Sulley or Leomon? I don’t think that’ll work, just like Doggie I don’t think they’ll recognize us with our current voices and think we’re pranking them,” Panthro commented,
“Well fortunately that wasn’t my idea anyway,” Kat commented as the communicator was sounding the ringtone,
“Then who are you contacting right now?” Winston inquired,
“Someone with plenty of stand knowledge,” Kat explained, before the sound of the person on the other end of the line picking up could be heard,
“Hello?” said Jotaro’s voice through the communicator,
“Jotaro! This is Kat, Listen, I know this’ll sound crazy, but this guy with this shadow stand turned me and my friends younger!” Kat explained desperately, unsure of if Jotaro would believe him or not. After a tense but brief moment of silence, Kat could hear Jotaro’s voice again,
“Alessi and Sethan?” Jotaro inquired,
“Y-yeah! That’s the names we heard, Alessi is the guy with crappy hair, and Sethan is his stand, a weird shadow with gross looking eyes,” Kat explained,
“Huh, just like Rubber Soul he was someone we took out long ago,” Jotaro commented,
“So wait… you really believe me?” Kat asked,
“Trust me Kat, I’ve dealt with plenty of bizarre situations, your story doesn’t seem so far fetched by comparison,” Jotaro replied,
“That’s a relief,” Kat commented,
“Though why did you call me?” Jotaro inquired,
“Oh, well I was wondering if you maybe know how to reverse his ability on us?” Kat inquired,
“Hm… well plenty of stands have a limit to how far they be from something to still be affecting it with their ability, but I don’t know if Sethan has that limit, or if he does, what length that limit is… however, I know from experience that if you knock that creep out cold, you’ll revert back to your normal ages, then that’ll be your chance to detain him,” Jotaro explained,
“Knock him out cold, got it, thanks Jotaro” said Kat,
“No problem, try not to die,” said Jotaro before ending the call. Kat handed Panthro’s communicator back to him,
“Knock him out cold huh? I bet Sulley could do that with one of his punches,” Panthro commented, having overheard Kat’s conversation with Jotaro,
“We need to find Sulley first,” said Winston as he adjusted his glasses, Kat turned his attention towards Kuriboh,
“Hey, Kuriboh, do you think you can make lots of copies of yourself to help us look?” Kat requested, Kuriboh gave a happy nod before floating high into the air, and making several copies of himself that floated over several different areas of the eastern part of the city. After just a few seconds of the swarm of Kuribohs flying over the city, one of the Kuribohs returned to Kat,
“Kuri Kuri!” said Kuriboh excitedly, causing Kat’s eyes to widen with a smile spreading across his face,
“What did he say?” Panthro asked,
“He found Sulley!” said Kat excitedly,
“Really? That’s great!” Winston commented happily,
“Kuri Kuri!” said Kuriboh before he flew off,
“He wants us to follow him,” Kat explained,
“Then let’s follow him,” Panthro instructed before he, Kat and Winston followed Kuriboh deeper into the eastern section of the city.

After running for a minute, Kuriboh lead the other Anthros to an alleyway where Sulley was looking around,
“Sulley!” Panthro called out, causing the big blue monster to turn his attention to him, and the others with him,
“Oh, hey Kuriboh, who are your new friends?... Oh wait, they must be fans, I love all your cosplays, you look just like my friends, especially you cat kid, you look just like Kat, thank you all for your support!” said Sulley happily,
“No! Sulley listen, we aren’t fans, it’s us! Panthro, Kat and Winston, we were turned younger by this guy with stupid hair, and we need to get you to safety before he gets you too!” Panthro explained, though Sulley simply laughed,
“That’s so cute! You even want to have your own adventure like us, ok, I’ll play along, where’s this bad man with stupid hair?” Sulley asked in a flippant tone,
“He may very well be in this part of the city already, you need to head for the southern area, that’s where we’re going to rendezvous with the others” Winston explained,
“D’aww, children are so creative, you put a lot of thought into this pretend adventure,” Sulley commented petting Kat on the head,
“Sulley!” said Panthro angrily,
“Listen kids, I’d love to play with you, but I’ve got an important job to do, me and the other Anthros are searching for this young lady-” Sulley tried to say though he was cut off by an angered Kat smacking his large paw off his head,
“Yeah, Zero, we know! You know what else we know? She isn’t in this city anymore! It was an elaborate scheme by the Syndicate to plant her in this city to lead us here so they could kidnap me… you know what else I know? Not too long ago we fought off brainwashed monsters at Monsters Inc, it ultimately came down to you unleashing a roar so loud it freed everyone from their brainwashing and even knocked me out!” Kat explained in a serious tone. Sulley simply looked at the hybrid in disbelief,
“But… I never reported that yet…” Sulley commented before getting down on one knee and looking Kat in his eyes to see just how genuine they were,
“Kat… it really is you…” Sulley commented before looking at Panthro and Winston,
“You guys were really turned younger by some guy with stupid hair huh?... I’m sorry for not believing you at first,” Sulley commented,
“It’s alright, but we do need to get you to the Southern part of the city before the stupid hair guy renders you too young to fight,” Panthro explained,
“Though first, while you’re still an adult, get into contact with Jon and Leomon and explain the situation to them,” Winston instructed, Sulley nodded, quickly getting out his communicator. Sulley quickly got into contact with Jon and Leomon and explained the situation to them, as Sulley made his calls Kat and Kuriboh checked around nearby corners to make sure Alessi didn't sneak up on them, thankfully after a few minutes of convincing, Sulley successfully caught Jon and Leomon up to speed without any intervention from the shadowy stand user. Sulley then put up his communicator,
"Wait… Sulley where do you keep your communicator?" Kat asked, realizing the big blue monster almost never wore clothes thus didn't have any pockets,
"Don't worry about it," Sulley replied dismissively
"Alright, now let's head to the southern area of Orion City," Panthro instructed,
"You guys go ahead, I should check around this area and make sure Alessi doesn't intercept Jon or Leomon," Kat offered,
"But you're the one he's after! It'd be foolish to let you wander around the city alone with stupid hair guy walking around," Panthro replied,
"It'd also be foolish to just assume things will go according to plan and Jon and Leomon will make it to the rendezvous point with no trouble," Kat replied,
"Jon and Leomon are capable fighters," Winston commented,
"So are the rest of us, but that didn't stop Alessi from turning us younger, all it takes is touching the shadow for a second," Kat argued,
"True… how about I go with Kat? Make sure he doesn't do anything reckless," Winston offered, Panthro sighed,
"Fine, Kuriboh, you're with me, Winston and Kat, make sure Jon and Leomon get to us safely," Panthro instructed, the young gorilla and hybrid nodded in agreement before Panthro, Kuriboh and Sulley started making their way to the rendezvous point in the southern part of Orion City.

Kat and Winston walked around the Eastern part of Orion City for a few minutes, as they were searching one of the many alleyways Winston spoke up,
"Kat, do you really think we'll find them? What if they already left the area and are at the rendezvous point?" Winston asked,
"Well it wouldn't hurt to check around, I'd feel awful if something happened to Jon and Leomon," Kat explained,
"As would I, but let's make sure nothing happens to us either," Winston replied. When the two Anthros we're halfway down the lengthy alleyway, they jumped when they saw Alessi step into view at the end of the alleyway,
"Hey there cat kid and monkey kid," said Alessi mockingly,
"I'm not a monkey!" Winston replied angrily,
"Alessi, you better not have hurt Jon and Leomon!" Said Kat angrily,
"Nope, haven't even found them… yet, though of course when I do and make them younger, you wouldn't like what I'd do to them next," Alessi commented sadistically,
"You creep!" Kat replied angrily,
"Hey, if you don't want anything bad to happen to them or any of your other friends, I suggest coming with me peacefully," Alessi suggested,
"We'll never let you take Kat! he's our friend, and there's no telling what the Syndicate would want with him," Winston replied angrily,
"Then I guess we're still doing the hard way," Alessi commented,
"What are you going to do to us? You've already made us as young as you can with your stand," Kat commented,
"True, though making people younger isn't the only trick up Sethan's sleeve," Alessi commented before Sethan quickly stretched out to Kat and Winston. Alessi retrieved another hatchet from his jacket and Kat noticed that as Sethan was coming towards him and Winston, the silhouette of a hatchet appeared in what resembled one of Sethan's hands in his shadowy form. When Sethan was very close, Kat and Winston were surprised to see what looked like Sethan's hand escape the surface of the ground and extend upwards into a physical hand and hatchet. Winston's instinct was to back away from the hand, though Kat had the idea to try and catch the hand and take the hatchet. Within a second, Kat attempted to grab ahold of Sethan's arm as Sethan swung the hatchet at him, but his eyes widened when he saw his fingers phase through Sethan's arm, and quickly backflipped away from the shadow stand when it swung the hatchet, though the exchange did leave a small cut on Kat's cheek. Alessi let out a cackle,
"Did you forget? A stand can't be grabbed except by another stand," Alessi explained,
"But… Sethan is a bound stand, I thought those can be seen and felt by non stand users since they're bound to physical things," Kat commented, Alessi gained a look of the intrigue,
"Ah, so you do know a bit about stands… well yes, that is the nature of bound stands, but remember that Sethan is bound to my shadow, something that can't normally be felt," Alessi explained,
"Kat! Are you alright?" Winston asked in concern, grabbing Kat's shoulder,
"I'm alright," Kat replied,
"But you won't be for long!" Alessi replied as Sethan took another swing at Kat, though fortunately the young hybrid dodged the slash and quickly backed away from the shadow. Kat and Winston got a good distance away from Sethan, which allowed them to realize that Sethan could only extend from Alessi so far, the stand's maximum range being a few meters, so Alessi started to move closer to the two Anthros. As Alessi casually walked closer, Kat and Winston ran for a bit to get some distance, they made it out of the alleyway and attempted to lose Alessi by running all around the eastern part of Orion City and cutting through other alleyways, though this decision proved foolish as when going down one of the alleyways Kat and Winston found themselves at a dead end. The two Anthros looked behind them to see Alessi was casually approaching them with a wide smile on his face, even having the hatchet against the wall as he walked to make a point,
"Nowhere to run now kid, just come with me, and I promise that you and the monkey won't get hurt," Alessi offered, Winston looked around and saw a large metal barrel near him. After pondering for a bit, Winston had a plan,
"Kat! Make me angry!" Winston instructed,
"Huh? Why?" Kat asked in confusion,
"Just do it!" Winston demanded. Kat hesitated for a bit to think about how he'd anger Winston, then snatched Winston's glasses off his face,
"Also, peanut butter sucks," Kat added. Kat wasn't sure if his actions were enough to anger Winston, though he got his confirmation when Winston's black fur became red, sparks of electricity came from his eyes, and his expression became furious as he unleashed the most intimidating roar he could muster in his younger state. Alessi stopped walking for a bit when he saw Winston, as he was unfamiliar with the ability the gorilla was demonstrating, and Winston immediately went over to the large metal barrel, picked it up with ease, and threw it at Alessi, who was so caught off guard he took the barrel head on and fell to the ground. Kat's eyes were wide and his jaw was lowered as he looked over to Winston, who was still angry and breathing rapidly,
"Huh, not quite primal rage, more like a primal temper tantrum," Kat commented before walking over to Winston, putting his glasses back on his face, and giving him a hug while also petting him on the head,
"Shhhhh, it's ok, calm down…" said Kat in a comforting tone, after a few moments Winston quickly transitioned from his angered state to his normal state,
"S-sorry about that," said Winston timidly,
"Don't be, let's just get away while we still can," Kat suggested before he and Winston quickly ran past Alessi, who was still on the ground and trying to collect himself, and to elsewhere in Orion City. Alessi pushed the large metal barrel off him in annoyance before sitting up and holding his head,
"A gorilla throwing metal barrels, who would've thought," Alessi commented as his senses returned to him.

Kat and Winston ran for a few minutes, only stopping to catch their breath when they were sure they had lost Alessi. Kat peeked around the corner of the building they were at to see if the coast was clear, then was surprised to feel a large furry hand cover his mouth. Kat and Winston were surprised, and Kat was about to do his best to struggle against the person who gagged him, though he noticed Winston had a calm expression when the gorilla noticed who was behind him. Kat looked behind him to see Jon, who put a clawed finger from his free hand to his own lips and made a quiet shushing noise,
"Jon!" Said Kat and Winston in surprise, though Kat's voice was muffled by Jon's hand. Jon then uncovered Kat's mouth,
"Stop doing that!" Kat demanded in an annoyed tone,
"Sorry, are you two ok?" Jon asked,
"We're fine, though I thought you would've been out of the eastern area by now," Winston commented,
"I was on my way to leave the area, but I saw you two running away from that clown with ridiculous hair and went to help you two," Jon explained,
"I mean, it's a little late for that, I think we lost him… at least for now," Kat explained, though not a second after Kat said that, Alessi abruptly appeared from around the corner, causing the Anthros to jump in surprise,
"Are you sure about that?!" Alessi asked with a huge smile, pleased with himself for frightening the Anthros. Jon immediately punched Alessi in the face, breaking his glasses and causing him to fall on his back,
"Listen creep, regardless of if these are my friends turned younger, I absolutely despise those who would harm children, that's why I'm taking you down right now!" Said Jon angrily, Alessi struggled to get back on his feet,
"Is that so?" Alessi asked before Sethan quickly stretched out from under Alessi towards Jon,
"Watch out for his shadow!" Kat and Winston warned in unison, though thankfully their warning didn't fall on deaf ears as Jon jumped into the air, narrowly avoiding touching the shadow, then charged at Alessi with his Beast Cannon technique. Jon hit Alessi by rushing past him while his body was completely covered with energy, though before Jon went back towards the ground, he changed the direction of his attack to rush past Alessi and hit him again, and repeated this several more times. After landing several hits on Alessi, Jon rushed away from the stand user to get some distance, then before he touched the ground, sent his energy dragon attack at him, when Kat saw the intimidating serpent made of chi rapidly fly towards Alessi, he gained hope that the attack could take Alessi out, or at the very least knock him unconscious so his ability on the Anthros would be nullified, though Kat's hope was shattered when he saw the dragon dissipate before it even made contact with Alessi. Kat and Winston were confused, but upon looking over to Jon, they could see that the very tip of one of his claws on his toes touched the ground, with Sethan waiting eagerly beneath him, and within a mere moment, Jon glowed, changed in shape, then stopped glowing to reveal himself in a much younger state, Jon was much smaller and skinnier, and his golden eyes almost seemed wider, though he still wore his dark purple pants, they were clearly a much smaller pair. When Jon's feet touched the ground, Jon looked at himself with great confusion,
"Wh-What?! What happened to me?" Jon asked in confusion, surprised to hear his younger voice,
"Sethan turned you into a werewolf pup, and as revenge for hitting me, I'm going to turn you into cutlets!" Said Alessi in a threatening tone as Sethan's hands emerged from the shadow, grabbed Jon's hands, and restrained him while Alessi once again retrieved his hatchet. Jon desperately struggled against the shadowy stand, but its grip was far too strong, Alessi charged towards Jon, ready to swing his hatchet. Just as Alessi was about to swing his sharp tool at the werewolf, he was stopped when he suddenly felt a sharp stinging sensation in his arm, Alessi was so caught up on the pain that he put his attack on hold and examined his arm to find a kunai sticking out of it. Alessi’s eyes widened as he yelled in horror from suddenly finding himself injured, though his yelling was cut short when Kat ran up to him and punched him in the back of one of his knees, causing his knees to buckle,
“Forget about me?!” Kat asked rhetorically in an angry tone. Being in unexpected pain caused Alessi to lose his concentration, which caused Sethan’s grip on Jon’s hands to loosen, allowing the werewolf to free himself, and immediately punch Alessi in the chest while he was unbalanced, causing the stand user to fall onto his back. Kat quickly grabbed Jon by the hand and led him by it as he ran back to Winston, who quickly turned around and started running as best as a young gorilla could as he anticipated Kat was going to once again start running again,
“Where are we going now Kat?” Winston asked as they ran,
“Anywhere in the city that isn’t here,” Kat explained,
“Kat, let go of me! I’m perfectly capable of running on my own!” Jon demanded in annoyance.

The three Anthros ran through the city, making it to the area that served as a sort of threshold that separated the east from the south before eventually coming to a stop to catch their breath,
“Running takes a lot more energy when your legs are smaller…” Jon commented between breaths,
“Sure does, we should really head to the rendezvous point while we still can,” Winston suggested,
“Ok, but I really don’t want to leave Leomon wandering around while that creep could be anywhere,” Kat explained,
“Jon, where was Leomon earlier when you guys were searching?” Winston inquired,
“Honestly I don’t remember, though I think he said something about checking from a higher point,” Jon explained,
“Up here!” said a familiar voice from above, Kat, Winston and Jon looked up to see Leomon standing atop a nearby building,
“Leomon!, were you on the building tops the whole time?” Kat asked, relieved to see the lion digimon alive and well,
“Yes, I figured it’d be a good place to search for Zero, as well as keep away from the man with the shadow,” Leomon explained,
“Wow, that sounds like a great idea actually, why didn’t we think of that?” Kat asked rhetorically,
“Do you want me to help you three onto the rooftops to make the trip to the rendezvous point safer?” Leomon offered,
“That would be a good idea, though I would do it quickly before Alessi finds us again,” Kat explained,
“Right, said Leomon with a nod before he got down from the building top. Given how fast Leomon could move, and how high he could jump, it didn’t take too long to help Kat, Jon and Winston onto the roof, as well as across the gaps between the buildings, it was a bit of a process, but within minutes the Anthros were not only in the southern area of the city, but near the rendezvous point. Kat felt relieved to finally be near the rendezvous point where Panthro and his other allies were likely waiting for them, Leomon first held Kat and Jon in his large arms, and carefully jumped down before releasing his friends, causing the hybrid and the werewolf to feel a sensation in their stomachs similar to feeling a large dip on a roller coaster. Leomon then jumped back up, though rather than get back onto the top of the building, the lion digimon hung onto the ledge with one hand, and held his other arm out for Winston to jump into, which the gorilla did after hesitating for a bit. Though to everyone’s horror, just when Leomon was about to jump down from the ledge so he could join his friends, a shadow that had become all too familiar to the anthros, stretched up the side of the building Leomon was on, and connected to the digimon, who let out a roar before he glowed and released his grip from the surprise, and started falling with Winston. Jon and Kat looked towards where Sethan seemed to originate from to find Alessi casually leaning against a nearby building with a smile on his face,
“Miss me?” Alessi asked mockingly before Jon lunged at him furiously,
“Bastard!” said Jon angrily, though while Jon attacked Alessi, Kat focused his attention on his falling friends. Kat quickly got out Bruiser’s pokeball and released him,
“Bruiser! Catch Winston! I’ll catch Leomon,” Kat instructed as the bright beam of light formed his incineroar companion. Bruiser roared upon being let out of his ball, and followed Kat’s instruction, readying himself to catch the falling little gorilla, while Kat readied himself to catch Leomon, figuring the lion would have a much smaller and easier to catch form upon turning younger. After a suspenseful moment of the two anthros falling, Kat and Bruiser were successfully able to catch the person they were supposed to, though Kat was surprised to see Leomon in his new form. Leomon no longer resembled a lion, but rather a red creature more than half Kat’s size that had long ears, several thin tails, a patch of blue fur on top of his head, white fur covering his underbelly, blue stripes all over his body, blue tips on the ears and tails, and blue eyes indicative of a more simple creature,
“Leomon… you’re a bunny now?” Kat asked in confusion as he examined his friend while holding him,
“No Kat, I’m an Elecmon, I believe I told you a while ago, this is what my rookie form looks like,” Elecmon explained. The other anthros turned their heads upon hearing Jon gagging to see the young werewolf on the ground, covered in cuts and bruises, while Alessi had one of his feet on top of the poor darkstalker,
“Uh guys, I think we have bigger problems,” said Winston as Bruiser put him down, and recklessly charged at Alessi with a furious roar,
“Bruiser no!” Kat plead, but it was too late, Bruiser spun around rapidly with his large muscular arms extended as dark flaming energy emanated from his palms, it was his signature move: Darkest Lariat. Just as Bruiser was about to collide with Alessi however, Sethan snuck under Bruiser as his attack was about to land, instantly transforming him into a Litten, and causing him to abruptly stop in his tracks in front of Alessi’s feet,
“Heh, cats, dogs, monkeys, bunnies, regardless of what you freaks are, you’re all worthless!” said Alessi before he took his foot off Jon and kicked both him and Bruiser so hard that they were sent flying towards the other anthros. Elecmon quickly jumped down from Kat’s arms and helped Winston catch Jon, while Kat caught his beloved Pokemon, taking the time to notice that his beloved blue bandana was around his neck,
“Jon! A-Are you ok?!” Elecmon asked in concern,
“I’m alright…” said Jon as he attempted to sit up, Elecmon and Winston helped the darkstalker to his feet, meanwhile as Kat held Bruiser in his arms, the Pokemon looked up at his beloved trainer with wide eyes,
“(Kat… you hold Bruiser…)” said Bruiser through his cries as he blushed, Kat smiled,
“Yeah, I guess I am… don’t worry, you’re still a tough guy,” said Kat with a smile. Bruiser then hopped out of Kat’s arms and stood in front of him with a battle ready pose,
“(No worry! Bruiser still fight for you!)” said Bruiser confidently before Elecmon joined his side with sparks of electricity coming from his tails, as well as Winston with his fur and skin turning red in color and sparks of yellow electricity coming from his eyes, and Jon walking up behind his allies and cracking his knuckles to make a point. Kat felt left out seeing his allies ready themselves for a fight, so he got ready himself by surrounding himself with dark aura, meanwhile Alessi retrieved his hatchet,
“How cute, even though I turned you all into young weaklings you think you still stand a chance against me,” Alessi commented with a wide smile and a shrug,
“We aren’t as weak as you think!!” said Elecmon furiously as he shot out electricity at Alessi while Bruiser simultaneously shot an ember at him from his mouth, both attacks travelled so fast that they hit Alessi head on, then, without giving the stand user a moment to recover, Kat, Jon and Winston lunged at him and clocked him with all the force they could muster, with Winston punching Alessi in his face, while Jon and Kat both punched him in his stomach, the force of which sent Alessi flying into a nearby wall so hard that he made an imprint into the sturdy brick with his body. Kat looked at Alessi to see his face was bloodied and he appeared to have suffered a large amount of damage from the attack, possibly even knocking him out, but when Kat examined himself, he could see that he was still in his young state,
“W-what?” said Kat to himself in confusion. Suddenly Panthro, Doggie, Kuriboh, Beast, Mercenary and Sulley appeared from around the corner, with Sulley being the only Anthro aside from Kuriboh who was still an adult,
“Guys! Are you ok? We heard fighting,” Doggie explained, Alessi then forced himself free from the wall and revealed dark aura surrounding him, causing all the anthros to turn their attention back to him. Then, before anyone could react, Sethan quickly stretched out and went beneath Sulley, almost instantly reverting him to his younger form, which didn’t look too different form Sulley’s normal form, aside from being shorter and having much smaller horns, seeing Sulley younger caused Alessi to chuckle
“Thought that attack would knock me out? You aren’t the only one with dark aura cat kid,” Alessi explained,
“I know that aura all too well… Mumm-Ra,” Panthro commented as he clenched his fist,
“That’s right, he wanted to make absolutely sure that I did my job and brought the cat kid back with me, and thanks to my stand, none of you will be able to stop me,” Alessi explained with a smile, before he looked around at all the younger anthros,
“Hm… Y’know I could probably take you guys on all at once, but I’m really not a fan of fighting groups, so I think I’ll just take the cat freak and leave!” Alessi explained before he lunged at Kat, and grabbed him by his throat, moving so fast the other Anthros couldn’t react, as a dark vortex opened behind Kat, though it looked different from the vortexes Kat usually summons. In the split second Alessi was about to push Kat through the vortex, Bruiser shot an ember straight into the stand users eyes as he entered, the rest of the Anthros called out for Kat as he and Alessi disappeared into the vortex, Panthro lunged at the vortex and attempted to go in after Kat, but the vortex dissipated before Panthro even touched it. Panthro fell to his knees after failing to grab Kat,
“K-Kat… no…” Panthro commented in concern, unsure of what to do next after everything that had transpired in such a short time.
