August might be over, but the forecast says we've still got a few scorchers to get through before it's finally fall.

Anyway, did you know that skunks don't have white fur underneath or pink noses like in the cartoons, that their hind feet are more foot-shaped than paw-shaped, and that the fur on their tails fans out like a feather duster? I didn't, until I started looking up pictures for reference.
