"I...am proud of this. o_o I, just...FFF HAIR.

This is Neil, a pirate captain from the webcomic Katherine and I are going to begin sometime soon (and my favorite character!). I've had this image stuck in my head for a while, though I only got it out just now. X3 I wanted to wait until I could do it digitally, in part because of the lightning (I know you could do it traditionally, but I'm sure it turned out much better this way). Another thing that was a first was the colored lineart. This picture is very blue, so I wanted to see if it would look good with blue lineart as well -- and I think it does. Oh, and I also put a little texture in the coat~

Neil has lightning magic, hence the theme of this picture. And the boat he's captain of is called the Stormspirit. C="
