STORY:

Finally, after hours of dancing until her feet were swollen..... Well, swollen worse than they had been over the last few months. They were finally back at home at Otherworlde. And as Shaya sat upon their bed, her eyes wandered to the bed her pups slept upon. Rayven, in his giant black wolf form, curled himself tightly around the slumbering bodies of the twins who nuzzled into him and held his tail over their bodies like a blanket.

She giggled. It was too precious not to.

"My Dark Angel..."

Snapped back into reality, Shaya looked up, noticing Cain approaching with two mugs in his hands. "Hey, hun," she smiled warmly as she took one mug from him that a picture of Kotetsu and Barnaby from the anime Tiger and Bunny on it. Holding the handle in one hand, the other grasping the side of the mug, she brought it to her nostrils and breathed deep.

"Mmmmmmm.... Blood," she purred as the familiar fragment aroma filled her sensitive nostrils. And she swooned at it, thrilled by the deliciousness of the meal about to come.

The bed bowed suddenly as he sat upon it next to her, wrapping one arm around. She giggled as she noticed the customized mug he held. "Really? That mug?"

Confused, Cain tilted his head as he turned it slightly to see the image. Then laughed with her. Emboldened on the side was a picture of Helena smiling mischievously. Her adorable little sister had given Cain this mug as a Christmas gift as a gag. She loved to do things that she thought would get his goat. And sure enough, for most, she might have been right.

She had given Sebastian the same mug for Christmas and he used it as a toothbrush holder... Well, that was after he added a lovely black villainous curled mustache to her smile.

"What?" Cain feigned defensiveness as he sipped on his herbal tea.

"Why would you want that mug? I thought you hated it," she giggled more, easing into his arms as she began to feed both herself and the unborn.

"Who said I did?"

"Helena for one," Shaya slapped his chest lightly.

He laughed harder at that. "No, no, I never hated it. In fact, I actually like it. I just reminds me that regardless of all our problems, Helena does care about me enough to treat me no differently then the rest of your brothers. In fact, i think I get treated better than even Sebastian."

He sighed as he stared off into the distance. "Besides, won't it seriously irk her to know that I actually love this gift and use it almost every day."

Now snorting with laughter, Shaya covered her mouth. "Oh my god, you'd devastate her."

"That's the plan, my love," Cain kissed her cheek as she nestled against his chest. "Did you enjoy your evening?"

"Yes, but..."

"But? But what?" Cain frowned as he looked at her confused. "Did you not have fun?"

Still feeling the rhythm in her feet and sway of their bodies, still hearing the echo of the music, she swooned even now. "Of course i did. You dance like a dream."

Blushing at the compliment, Cain smiled. "Then what is it?"

"As nice as all that was," Shaya looked up at him, her crimson eyes filling with the love that beat within her heart. "This is the best part of the night."

Still confused, Cain looked around at their trappings and frowned. "But we do this every night..."

"I know, but I can't think of anything better. Every night I get to come home to the wolf I love and fall asleep in his arms," she drank more of the sweet nectar within her mug.

Cain watched her from the corner of his eye, and shook his head. "You know I think I'll never understand this romance thing."

Cuddling within his arms, Shaya nodded. "I know. But for someone who doesn't understand it, you do amazing at it."

With a purring growl, Cain nuzzled his nose within her now loose hair. "Thank you, my dark angel. I love you, my Alpha Queen."

"I love you too, my Alpha."
