How do you compensate for the kickback ?

Well, the kickback wouldn't be all that much. It launches in a 'prelaunch' situation where you pull the trigger, and the weapon itself just uses probabily Co2 type power to 'kick' the missile out of the barrol, and after a second of it clearing the muzzle, the missile ignites and launches. If you look closely, you'll actually see it fires out and drops, then launches, much like a bombing-torpedo from an aircraft carrier, or how certain cruiser missiles drop from bombbay doors. =)
