I was actually thinking about stuff like that when I heard that people are getting depressed over the movie. I was thinking about how, you know, there's still a "kill or die" situation, and the Na'vi are still a hunter race. There are still wild things out to eat them just like they have to eat other things too.

Personally I find it adorable that people go on and on about what a wake up call this movie is to the human race, then they fantasize about running around in loin cloths with giant blue nekos without even considering doing something to help the rain forest here on earth. I guess its less of a hassle to save some imaginary planet from an evil corporation then to lift a finger to save the one your on.

The problem with that argument is that it would be the industry's worst nightmare if all of the trees in the world went into extinction. Trees are grown like crops and used various purposes and that it is RENEWABLE!
