Being amongst nature has a way of restoring the soul. No place had reminded him more of that fact than the shaded canopies surrounding the river valley made home by a fellow silver dragon with whom he had become recently acquainted. Many afternoons were spent in good company there, relaxing lazily under the dappling light of a dying sun to warm their scales and with the soothing babbling of a nearby stream to ease the worries of their days. On one particular retreat, the pair were met with an unexpected guest, the glint of scales lurking within the glassy depths stirring the amalgam from his contented rest against his companion. "Hmhm. You best be careful erthurirl..." The iridescent dragon chuckled softly as he pointed towards the shimmering water. "...I think this one here has mistaken you for another fish!"
There really isn't anything quite like relaxing at a scenic locale with a friend close at hand. Or at paw in this case. Especially when that someone happens to be a handsome dragon too!

There are honestly too many good things to say about this piece! But I especially love the illustrative style and lighting. That combined with the excellent composition make it seem like something straight out of a book and really sells the tone and story of the image.
