Back in 1939 when this car was manufactured, Ford named their two-door coupe, the Tudor and their four-door model the Fordor. I kid you not.
The name reminds me of an old Far Side cartoon that showed a dog hanging out a car window calling to his buddy, “Hey, Biff! I’m going to the vet to get tutored.

I love your postings and I apologise for being a nit-picker, but I think it was the 2-door sedan and not the coupe that was named the Tudor. GM used to call that bodystyle a "coach" if I recall correctly.
In any case I love the '39's front ensemble and you caught a lovely image of it. Please forgive my nit-picking over the terminology. And yes...I've always been amused by that "Tudor/Fordor" thing myself! Especially when one considers how particular Ford was about distinguishing the "Standard" and "Deluxe" lines back then.
