random concept sketching for my little anime series thing...
the pose idea popped into mind while listening to an AC/DC song... XD hence the goofy wording
I was drawing with two layers on OC when I did this. On the second layer I drew an alternate form, to be posted shortly, then went back to the underlayer and made that little fireball... not realizing until it was too late to change anything that I had made it on top of the original sketch. Not too much was lost due to it covering up details, but I'm still a tad annoyed by it. XP
As far as the character goes, Selendrile is the characters real name, but during the series he will mostly be referred to under an alias. But since I haven't thought up an alias I like yet (since "Seike Daimao" doesn't seem to fit him anymore, and "Fy Dorn" just sounds silly), we'll just call him by his Dragon Name. Which provides the next most obvious detail about him, he's a Dragon. One of the last. He's most likely several hundred years old and he is quite powerful. He has survived over the years thanks to a particular magical ability that few Dragon's possess, the power of Shapeshifting. Selendrile can transform himself into any beast he so chooses. Though he isn't particularly fond of the shape, he has come to spend most of his time in the guise of a human as it is simply the most convenient form to take in the modern world.
The appearance you see him in here is how he looks during most of the series. His actual Dragon form is rarely seen, and for good reason, given that Dragons aren't believed to actually exist and revealing himself as such would probably have some pretty dramatic consequences. In human form, he is capable of producing fire-based attacks in a manner similar to most mages or chi-manipulators(martial artists). The key difference being that his natural affinity to the element makes it so that no actual spell casting or "powering up" is required to perform his techniques, but rather he can simply cast even the most powerful of his flame attacks (near) instantly at will.
His human form comes with it's own weaknesses however. He cannot fly, his physical strength is greatly reduced, and he possesses defenses no greater than the average human(though he does maintain an immunity to fire/heat-based damage).
There IS a reason why he has "DBZ hair" XD but that's a Looooong story.... ^.^;;
