A digital portrait I painted as a submission for my college's competition. I responded to the following question:

"How has the vision of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and his movement affected your life or your tenure at Colorado School of Mines?"

Miss Lisa is a very dear friend of mine as well as a huge inspiration. She became a Civil Engineer (when next to no African Americans could at the time) as a direct result of Dr. Martin Luther King's efforts, without which I would have never met her and likewise never been impacted by such a positive, caring and industrious woman.
