>Plain-Clothes Detective
Sasha is a Special Detective with the Blackthorn City Police Department. On plain-clothes duty, she is obliged to dress well and handle herself in a respectable manor, but is not required to be in uniform. The uniforms displayed here are worn only on specific occasions, as stated below.

>Uniform A
The Class A dress uniform worn by the THORN for formal functions.

The THORN department’s badges and icons are cast in silver rather than copper. Silver is associated with mourning, repentance and destruction. A THORN must be mindful of those they failed to save, be willing to help those who want to be saved, and be ready to end those who would not be saved. It is also the color of ashes, so that each officer is reminded to be humble, for they were but ash, and one day, they will be ash once more.

The tunic and hat are not gray, but rather are comprised of interwoven black and white threads symbolizing the all-encompassing nature of the law as well as the officer’s obligation to treat all persons equally.

The hat emblem is the downward thrusting sword of justice. Each officer vows to be a “Thorn-in-the-Flesh” of evil and hold themselves always to their honor.

The arm insignia is the Great Seal of the City of Blackthorn within the silver badge of the department. The top of the badge features a sword embedded blade down and wrapped in brambles. This is meant to show that one should be ever-ready with weapon at hand, but should likewise be ever reluctant to seize it.

The cross-chest belt helps hold the officer’s gun in place, but also holds tight across their heart, reminding them that it is there, reminding them that they are in uniform and so represent the whole force.

In contrast to the formal Class A uniform, the Class B is the team’s no-nonsense, ground-pounding, terrorist-stopping, standard operational outfit. The modular harness rig can be outfitted with a variety of optional components ranging from additional ammunition and explosive ordinance to specialized medic and tech gear.

Every THORN is outfitted with a 9mm Springfield Armory XD MOD.2

Communications gear has largely been replaced with smart phone/watch/earpiece sets.

>Uniform Removed

Under her uniform, Sasha usually wears a pair of silk shorts, a tank top, and either cotton crew socks or nylons, depending on the weather.

>A Personal Choice
Sasha always pulls her long hair back in a tie when on duty to keep it out of the way and to keep herself looking neat and presentable.

She never wears jewelry while in uniform.
