I had a book too, and I think when there was a magazine you coule buy every week and assemble together I bought those... also I dressed up as an egyptian for a school project as well and made a sarcophagus with a babrbie wrapped up as a mummy. Lol. I wonder where that is now... maybe my parents kept it. It was awesome.

I never got to do AQ in the lvl 60 days... I just didn't know any raiders.

It looks like a fun fight and I want to go and solo it now at lvl 80 as I really love AQ and am sad I missed out on it XD! Also fancy the cute silithid battle mounts to count towards the mount achievement cuz I am sad and collect things lol XD!

I remember Ossirian. He was rather difficult back in the day, having to make sure you followed directions properly and not end up getting killed by the tornado.

Yeah I imagine it was a bitch to do. My boyfriend used to raid since the very beginning and he says he "hates AQ so much" because it was always stressful that people weren't able to follow instructions or work together.

Personally I just LOVE this isntance. Of all of the lvl 60 zones also, Silithus is the only one I don't get pissed off being in. EPL/WPL relaly annoy me because they're so cluttered and dark. Recently I levelled two miners from lvl 1 and I had to mine Thorium veins.. easily Silithus is the only zone out of the three that I don't mind. Winterspring also is very cute but I don't bother mining there. lol babbling.

I am glad someone else loves the anubisaths in there too... gah. I get too excited over this dungon... I really love the Qiraji creatures too, the big summoners are also awesome. I need to draw these.

I have always loved the Egyptian Deity Bast. I actually use here in one of my longest stories.

homgosh I remember her. She's the solar/war goddess and she carries a rattle, right? She's awesome. I should totally draw her too. ;o; Gah I love this stuff XD!

I am not sure, I had always thought the she was guardian of the Dead. I will have to do some research into that. I do know that she was originally a collection of different sects before becoming a deity and defined one (I believe).

OK, I want to add that I was wrong and you where totally right. according to t the article I read from Wikipedia, it was also interesting to find that she was later turned into the Moon goddess by the Greeks later on.

Oh really? I didnt know about the moon goddess bit :D I knew she got sort of overshadowed by another similar goddess (a lioness one i think) later... was it Sekhmet or something...? I dont know). I know Bast had her name changed a little to distinguish her from the other goddess, and something to do with class systems and who worshipped who. :)

AQ 20 is my favourite Raid in pre-bc next to Naxxramas. I just love the ambiente there, the sounds, the Anubisaths and of course Ossirian too. ;)

And yeah I adore this instance so I udnerstand what you mean! I only raided in Nax10 in Wrath of the Lich King so I don't know about the older version of Naxxramas. I like the atmosphere of both raids. I went there recently (to AQ20) and got all the bug mounts for fun (cept red one XD) cuz I think they're so awesome. XD

Yeah, if you love egyptian stuff so much, AQ is really the perfect raid for you. And even if you don't go there just for the look of Ossirian, the anubisaths, the obsidian destroyers and of course the whole buildings as well, the feeling of this raid is different from the newer raids.

Side note: Naxxramas in Oldschool was endgame content. ICC is really simpel compared to the old Naxx. I don't like how the new Naxx was pulled down.

Yeah Naxx was the last raid before TBC if i remember rightly and it was very challenging. I found the new naxx challenging too but I was new to raiding and stuff so maybe that's why. I didnt do 25 man. I can't even imagine doing 40 man raids. gaaawd. Sounds so difficult like, overseeing 40 players and making sure they do their bit. I remember AQ was very hard too at the time, specially Ossirian.

I can't get enough of the feel of the place, also Silithus is the only lvl 60 zone i dont absolutely hate being in for long periods. I am a big fan of the silith look and stuff also, and the silence of the zone is good in my opinion. I had to lvl two miners recently and spent ages there looking for thorium so i was hours there XD I didn't get as tired of it as Plaguelands (ergh).

WOTLK instances have become so easy now, Blizz seems to have taken away the co-operations aspect of the group instances so much. Even in TBC I remember there were tactics, more than "run away from this spell" or "stop dps when the boss does such and such". tanks do so much better dmg and hardly lose agro, healers dont get to sit for mana at all unless they shout for it (mana regen is so good now i find i hardly have to sit at all on my druid). I hate the rushing. everyones shouting at eachother to GO GO GO cuz badges are so easy to get. I dunno maybe everyone likes this but I don't, I like everyone having to do some work and actually have a role.

XD sorry for the rant haha I just like chatting bout wow since im a nerd. XD

Hehehe, I would not say that I am a nerd, but yeah, I could talk about WoW for a long time too. And I know what you mean when talking about Silithus. I spend much time there as well, because of the thorium. Although I hate those annoying bugs aka silithids. Perhaps this is because of the fact, that mining aggro nearby creatures. And those wasps in one hive down there are allways in packs and if you aggro one, you aggro all.
But the AQ-zone is really cool. I love those ruins and, most important, the story behind it. It's not like "There is a raid, go in, kill bosses and take the loot." it has some background. That's why I love Naxx so much, to see the evilness of the scourge and of Kel'thuzad. ICC is pretty awesome too, the lore is amazing, but the bosses are to easy. Well, expect the lichking himself and perhaps Professor Putricide (<-- I like this guy because of his voice acting, he seems so crazy but somehow gentle at the same time ^^)
