From a village in the south of Forest of Lethyr she was brought up by her nomadic clan of elves, hunters and oracles, just a few of them had divination magic and other traits. they mostly were mercenaries for travelling trades nearby. but for Zi Bao nature was most fascinating and animal companions were many. she had a small finch she loved and she would get help from it to hunt down big prey as well some small as young elf. her clan however said she shouldn't make friends with forest animals.
Her grandmother was a oracle from the very south of The Shaar and had a long history of helping poor souls, but settled with grandfather who were a big hunter who in the younger days slayed a dragon but had severe burns on half of hes body. But Zi Bao was named by the aunt who came from the very Thay, escaped from red wizards. the elven girl always was in question of who they were but auntie always seem to avoid the question.
She had sometimes strange dreams about flying and she touched the sun, it hugged her and she felt a inner peace Zi Bao never felt before, always told the oracles about it, they kind of knew she would someday experience this future.
As 20 years went by and she was around her 30, she returned to see the camp was abandoned there was smoke marks as well big hoof print and some dried blood, the camp fire was snuffed out with water and just touchable warm. she got timid but immediately thoughtful. ' Who could have done a such thing?' she asked herself.
After all she never been any other forests than The Great Dale and Thesk, her common language wasn't the greatest either but as her elders said ' Never fear, the guides are always with you.' she took up some courage and began her own travel but back of her mind was the loss of her clan and so she thought.
She traveled same direction of the hoof prints north east, as she approaching the Lake Ashane but the hoof prints stopped here, she was far from her comfort and it was no one nearby, but she smelled the juniper and thought why not try south as she began her journey towards Two Stars, a settlement and crossroad town, she slept here for the night but a poor sleep held her up. her mind was mostly about the clan's disappearance, and again the dream came back it showed her a mountain and a strange building she heard a chime sound, mountain with sunrise on it and the skies fast time forward, the droplet hanging on a grass leaf. she was impressed by it as she continue her journey and small omens she followed on the road towards south east.
A small hare was her little companion and she cherished it, but she never gave her animal name. that's was one of the clan's words she kept with her. She had however had a few fellow elven accompanies and asked them the usual approachable questions, but never gotten close to them. She mostly eaten from nature since coins was something she had no use for.
After a month of the foot and settle on the streets of towns of Nethentir, Tyraturos all the way to Pyarados. She finally had the a sign and to climb the Sunrise Mountain, it called her somehow.
As the Pyarados was a dirty, mud covered but sprawling city, she kept her little hare in a basket and suddenly she saw this strange light in a narrowed side way. she followed it and a small but particular temple, hidden away from eyes view. familiar chime sound as well. this fighting style she seen in her dreams. right here.
She almost lost grip on her basket as her legs got weak and she got tearful, ' Am here, Am finally here. ' She said.
The monks at the temple saw her as well the master of the art nodded. ' we been waiting for you. ' they said.
She immediately started the intense training, still a little timid towards the others but step by step opened herself for them, it was 6 rough years but after those she finally speed up and becoming stronger. She learned to become a martial artist, her favorites was to climb the Sunrise mountain as a meditation and endurance. she felt more free, these years of training and mindfulness kept her thoughts and focus busy.
But then the thoughts came back. her clan and the disappearance, she needed to find out, the master simply nodded to her as she asked the them. the other student gifted her supplies and advice, she was part of their extended family and she would come back when she found out or recused them.
