Woo, first proper art of 2010 ('bout time)
Levi is a character from the series of stories I started writing forever ago and although she's existed as a character for a long time, her design and appearance were always vague, both in description and in my mind. I may very well be contradicting what I once wrote and this design may very well be completely scrapped but this I feel, is not too shabby an effort.
I've been experimenting with some new techniques in terms of texturing, or rather, developed an existing one into something more. Zoomed in it looks really messy but I think at normal view and zoomed out it creates a nice effect. Unfortunately I did not do this one as a hyrbid (lineless and lined) and it would take some tweaking to just remove the lineart and end up with a nice lineless piece. Still, I may submit what it looks like in my scraps at somepoint.
Oh and Levi is (C) me whenever it was I made her and this design/art is (C) me 2010. Made in GIMP as usual, took at least two hour to three hours I think...

Heh, not quite. She's from the same planet as Flames (i.e. what I suggest to be ours) in the year 24XX. During this era lots of characters have names that are strange or draw back on ancient history and language.
Truth be told the "Aquaous" part of the name was to contrast Flames' fiery nature more than anything, and to show that Levi is calm, strategical and a thinker. The name Leviathan conjures images of destruction, of a great sea serpent, which I thought was apt considering that despite her young age, innocence and that she's very much a kind, fair person; her actions as leader of the Resistance have caused much destruction and conflict, although both tend to be for by far the better.
