Heres another recent addition to the collection, purchased around Christmas time.
this is a PRU-60 Small Arms Protective vest. Used primarily by Navy/USAF pilots and aircrews during the late 90s till present. It is now being replaced by a vest known as the PRU-70.
It has level 3 inserts in it as well as the large velcro front for mounting a PRU-61 ceramic plate, though I dont have the plate. the cut of the armor appears to be a SPEAR/BALCS cut. whats nice about this one is that its adjustable around the waist as well as the shoulders, and the Nomex carrier is fire retardant.

Armor crews wore a different CVC fragmentation vest. It had a similar look but it was much more implified and only adjusted around the waist. It was also much cheaper overall. http://www.cranetechnologiesinc.com.....FlackVest1.jpg
Its certainly possible that a Spec Ops unit could have been using these, though its hard to say since those guys are generally allowed to use any armor that the unit wants to procure. So they could be practically anything.
