I think my earliest memory of TKC is approaching him with the desire to do a trade, as I had seen his artwork and was instantly floored by it, as I’m sure a lot of people are! He replied at first that he didn’t do trades, but would be happy to do something as a gift rather. At the time, I found this rather curious, and despite the fact he did not only one, but two pictures that included my former bull self with no expectation of getting anything in return, I wanted to do something for him.

In the time between then and now, we had our differences…as you can imagine it was mostly due to my own weaknesses as an individual, but fortunately for me, he never stopped being my friend. He’s one of the rare gems, one of a handful of people I know I probably put through hell at one time or another and he could still stand me despite all of it. One of the folks I’m really proud to know, and I wish I could do more then just some piddly little picture to show how important he is to me, and how much I admire him and his kindness. He’s the kind of person I really strive to be these days, not only enormously gifted as a artist, but eternally patient, gentle, and compassionate…no matter what’s thrown our way.
