It seems Reecees was unable to break away from the Hunter Vines and was subsequently knocked out. The Hunter Vines took their prize away into the deep undergrowth so they can give their prey to the Queen Hunter Vine. Reecees was wrapped up tight and held in the air, slowly waking up to a warm dark place. That's when she saw the large vine start to approach her now that it's prey was awake.

Look's like she's done for...time to load a save file...after checking out the game over sequence...maybe.
