Backgrounds still are not my forte~
Okay it's been like 9? months since I posted anything. I have this artwork to blame as it took me forever.
This drawing has a lot of emotion in it as I started it a long time ago. Since I started it, I had several times of crisis. Bad things kept happening to me and I only really got around to finishing it after some time trying to adapt to what life is like outside of a retail job. I have left my job and will be looking for a new one. I have been trapped in retail for over 4 years and it took a mental toll on me. It has still been a battle trying to adapt myself to a schedule when for years, my sleep and active times were entirely random. I finally have some control in my life and I have to break the programming the retail job put in my head.
So onto this art, it is massively detailed. Though the image is too large for this site, so a link will be provided below for full resolution.
I tried to do every hair on the art, keeping away from tricks as much as I could. I did so to learn some new methods that are hard to explain, to make the fur easier to draw at the same level. This is probably my first time drawing stitching and trying to texture fabric. It is not the best but it is good for the attempt now. As per normal I went through many shading phases, the final having to dictate based on the eye flames. Sadly the art program I was using is really good.... but it has a flaw which is the higher the resolution, the fewer layers you can use. I had to fuse many layers many times which made things slightly harder. While I love the art program in the brushes and how it functions, Ibis Paint X has memory limitations, mainly because of the option to turn the drawing into a speed draw based on the data collected (which this art is far beyond it's encoder).
I originally wanted to do a basic more so anime style for this, using some color theory to get myself to try more unique means, but my habit of loving detail was too much to overcome.
So onto the specs:
======================
Art Program: Ibis Paint X
Tablet: IPad Pro
Stylus: Apple pencil
Time spent according to Ibis Paint X: 28 hours 27 minutes
Actual time spent: around 9 months off and on (would have been about 2 weeks if allowed to work on a more stable schedule.)
Full Resolution: https://www.deviantart.com/zancuno/.....tion-811283792
======================
After this, I have a lot of mod work for my Starbound Lucario Race mod to do. I have been trying to get artwork done for my mod but this art kept itching the back of my mind often causing art block.
Wish me luck!
