...people who are...the stuff which sinks to the bottom because it is different and does not dissolve into the rest of that which surrounds it and thus comes to be labeled as valueless and thrown away without consideration...in the wrong place at the wrong time...I can relate to that...

I would be in a bottle of white wine. The dregs are the bitter undrinkable particles. Now granted beer dregs are considered edible, though I hate mar mite with a passion, they are put to use. The dregs of man are those who do not try at life.

I would say that I have a passion for wine, but it is more of a lust. I tend to go to many wine tastings, and making my own.

I love going to wine tastings, and I make my own wine. I love the taste, and the complex flavors hidden with in. When drinking a good bottle of wine, it is a ritual of selecting foods and snacks that add to the flavors. The pairing of cheese or chocolates with wine is heavenly. It can be a sorted and evening long affair for me.

... having to limit consumption could also serve as an advantage, as something which is limited becomes in a way more special.

well it makes me giggle allot, and usually just a bottle at dinner to give the extra flavor, or will cook with it. lamb shank in a red wine reduction and root vegetables mixed is an awesome dinner.

doesn't the alchohol boil off mostly when you cook with it? "a bottle at dinner"...a Whole bottle for one person? that sounds like alot...

it does cook off, and a bottle at dinner would generally be shared by 2.
