This here is a sheet detailing the two types of Blue-Tailed Koalas, as well as a feature exclusive to one type of them.
Blue-Tailed Koalas are a type of koala known for always being tall and rounded. All of them each possess a pouch regardless of gender. They all also share the same type of maw. However, there are some differences in the species.
Going from right to left:
Civilised Blue-Tailed Koala: These kind are the more docile kind of the species, having grown up within the city environment. Because of that, they tend to have a fairly normal upbringing. As normal as the Lunar City can bring. Because of that, it can be quite hard to tell them head on, or at any angle that blocks the tail, that they're a blue-tailed koala until one finally sees their tail, or manages to see their maw.
Civilised Blue-Tailed Koalas grow to a maximum average height of 5 feet and 7 inches.
Uncivilised/Wild Blue-Tailed Koala: The original version of the species, the native kind. Living in Lunar Forest, they take pride in being fat and lazy. These will tend to gorge on food in massive amounts, treating their fat bodies with reverence. And when they see a fur, they want to add them to their belly. Because, to them, becoming part of their fat bellies is a 'huge honour, one that simply can't be refused'. Sure they may be more 'fun' and carefree, but they lack the social skills of their civilised types. So, they tend to be a lot more forward and abrupt.
This type can 'move' into civilisation. When this happens, they tend to keep their usual habits, while attaining the new ones. However, this will usually result in the birth of a 'civilised' Blue-Tailed Koala most of the time, with later family generations usually going to match.
Uncivilised/Wild Blue-Tailed Koalas grow to a maximum average height of 7 feet and 8 inches.
Additional detail (Specific to the aforementioned Lunar Academy Universe) : At night, the bellies of Uncivilised/Wild Blue-Tailed Koalas tend to glow. The glow's intensity is specific to how many furs that koala has absorbed into their fat. Mind, though, it is not a permanent fate. When this type of koala eats someone, the fur is absorbed and their magic core retained, stored in the belly fat of the koala that ate them, preserved and intact. It can be possible to retrieve the core and reform the fur. However, the wild kind tend to be very, very protective of their 'living fat' and will usually defend it, even able to recall the name and whoever the one they were trying to save were.
In comparison, however, native Civilised B-T Koalas never learn this ability. As such, magic core assimilation for them would more-or-less match with anyone else in Lunar City. Thus, setting up the irony: Despite how 'dangerous' the wild Blue-Tailed Koalas seem, being eaten by them isn't a 'dead end', as there is a chance of being rescued. Civilised kinds may have the good attitudes going for them. However, to be eaten by them, results in a fate that is no different than being taken by any other predator in Lunar City.
