In the ending they said that they drive to a little hut right north. And they're transporting the Animus 2.0.
I don't think it will be ONLY played in 2012. I think you have to change between Animus and reallife missions.
And I think, the last ancestor will be in the french Revolution, 18th century.
Because: It fits to the timeline (12th - 15th- 18th); it is an interesting story; it is about humanity rights and it is about a big badass who should be killed! I think that would be awesome.
