Big cats don't have slit eyes irl, they'd become a dot instead.
Just a nature fun fact, not trying to dictate your fantasy of course ^^
Edit: Incidentally, small foxes do have these slits, it's a trait that depends on the type of hunting a species does, rather than being part of the feline family
